Hi Ed! The brush provides another level of added protection. It conforms to any textured or uneven surface, closing any tiny gaps so as to keep small insects out and light from coming in from under the door.
I install these for the pest control company i work for, honestly its not too hard to install, just make sure to put LOTS of LUBE in the channels and rubber and i find it easiest to install the whole metal track first, then set the garage door to a comfortable height, slide one “T’ rubber side all the way across, then with a screwdriver or similar item start poking the other “T” rubber into the channel and then cut the excess off the ends.
If Home Depot sells the 16 inch product that is the same measurement of our two car garage door size, why you mentioned here your kit has 4 feet hanging over rubber? Do we have to order the 20 feet kit?
Do you provide installation service? Or it's mostly a DIY project?
Rodent proof? how? They just chew right through each end of the rubber weather stripping seal.
They have a metal mesh screen inside the seal.
What purpose does the brush seal serve?

How is it rodent proof
The rubber has steel wool in it to deter rodents from chewing through it…
DOes Xcluder provide installation services?
IDK, but this is a great opportunity for a small business for a diy selfer.

Wouldn't a roof rat chew through rubber?

When the audio said 1in, 2in, 3in. Then said 8ft,16ft I immediately knew this wasn’t for me. Instead it should be 1in 2 inches etc.
The video is correct. 1, 2, 3 inch width and 8 and 16 is the length.
