It's a shame the way the higher ups handled the Brad Scott situation, but hopefully Rhyce will be a breath of fresh air for the club and continue building on some of the good work we've done this year.
playing to lose.... ask carlton how great that mentality has worked out.. from a club 20 years ago who had the most premierships and never finished on thr bottom despite being in the competition from the very first game... to now... just twenty years later of 123 years in competition.. they have not added to that preniership count, theyve played finals just 3 times... got caught cheating the salary cap in a year that thy finished 'LAST' for the first time and lost access to not only the first draft pick "brendan goddard" but also lost the rights to their compensation pick for winning less than 5 games in pick 2 "Daniel Wells"... then would go on to get the spoon 4 more times on top of that all in the mindset of adding the best players from the drafts.. Murphy Gibbs and kruzer... then assumed thats enough to lure a chris judd to the club but would cost them Josh Kennedy and the pick 3 fron the kruzer draft "chris maston" all because they rated pick 1 higher than pick 3 and kennedy (all west coast wanted for judd was pick 1 so thet could take cotchin and carlton said no) and now 2019 thrir going to get a 5th woodern spoon... 20 years... finals just 3 times.. 5 wooden spoons if north ever goes down that road...they have lost me.. id rather fight out every game and be recognised for never laying down rhan to be known as the side who doesnt know how to win at all
Well done Rhys, but don't say you don't need to change anything regarding game plan. That's the reason Scott got sacked because we have a shit game plan.
he looks like an early Pep Guardiola - just need to get him out of a polo and into a tailored suit. Jokes aside, good luck Rhyce all the best, wishing you nothing but great success.
You’re mumbling Mr Shaw. Please speak clearer. You’re having trouble pronouncing the letter T in basic english words. Please correct this ASAP. You’re representing a club that’s 150 years old.
@@ashfreddyjason8109 Shit because Laidley came from the west coast eagles. think before you speak. There is no guarantee it's the solution but Clarkson,Longmire and Simpson are proof that Ex Kanga players have got what it takes.
There is absolutely no evidence to suggest that ex-North players make great coaches mate. The guys you mentioned happened to play for North, but that fact didn't suddenly give them magic coaching abilities. Some blokes have a good head on their shoulders for that sort of thing, some don't, regardless of what team they played for during their career. Personally I'm more than happy with Rhyce at the helm for the remainder of the season to kick off the new era at this club, and I certainly hope that we recruit a coach next season who is ambitious and has a definite plan to make North as great as it once was.
What a breath of fresh air, well done North Melbourne, all the best Rhyce, exciting times ahead.
Onwards and Upwards.
Onya Rhyce. New chapter. Focus on what we need to do this year and see what happens!
New era is beginning at north lets get stuck in the mighty kangas

I like him. Looks like his got a good head on his shoulders. If he impresses this season why not give him a full time job. Go roos
Michael Papamarkou if north win 50% of their last 12 games, definitely give Shaw a two year deal with the club.
No lose to get better picks
@@jbates005 that mentality will never breed a winning culture. just look at carlton

Hellyeah gonna be good too see what a fresh mind n style has on the fellas :)
Liking his honesty. Hasn’t been put in the best of positions but am sure he will give it his best shot. All the best Rhys
Sorry Rhyce.
I know its early days but I have a sneaking feeling that Shaw just might surprise all of us. I hope so.
Next era of north has officially begun, exciting times.
Don't forget to tweak Taz spending some time up forward to give Big Ben some extra support. :)
Good luck to Rhyce Shaw and the North players
he was a great Collingwood player
I think it was the 2003 grand final he jumped out of the line of the ball and body?
seems like a really good bloke

It wouldn't be a good look if he came in 1st press conference and called Scott a shit coach and said we were terrible would it?
You’re only filling in for a few weeks buddy, calm down.
Omg you can tell he’s influenced by Brad Scott with some of the quotes he spat out

Are we still pretending that BS could coach? But good luck Rhyce.
This is not the man for the job, We need an ex North player who understands the Shinboner Spirit.
lol How'd that work out with Laidley?

@@maximillianford9301 Apparently you only read the bits to suit your narrative numbnuts. I clearly stated that it was no guarantee .
Hopefully he isn’t the man for the job so we lose to get better picks
