It always amazes me how you can play the song just by listening to a few seconds of it
Years of playing scales helps with that, I can do it as well just not as fast as he can. It's really impressive
it's experience
know your chords, know your notes, know your fretboard, and have a sense for typical progressions and riff timing in-genre
there are contexts in which you need to be able to literally do that within seconds or less - session bass playing can be exactly that a good amount of the time (which is why they say that the best innate skill a bassist can have is a quick ear), same with improvising a solo on any instrument
example: whenever I improvise a bassline or a vocal melody line, I think of where in the existing frequency ranges I can actually fill in. Then I get a sense of possible progressions from any point, any motifs I can use, and from that point it's filling in the connective tissue between those progressions. Chromatic approach, jumping around different octaves, slides, ghost notes, throwing in parts of different modes/scales, cheekily memeing with short riffs from other songs - world's your oyster, really.
If you ever learn piano or any classical instrument and sheet music, you can figure out almost any note or chord on almost any other instrument by ear. Scales become second nature by time and exposure. I haven't played music in a few years and still "feel" the motions when I hear melodies.
there are only 2 ways to achieve it. Either God given talent or full dedication. There are some insane people that can just do it, but it's pointless to even compare yourself or anyone to them. For everyone else it's a lot of practicing. And contrary to popular belief, you can train your ears to a high level even if your starting point is basically being tone deaf.
Husky by the Geek (who Toxic has done collabs with) can pump out a cover with multiple guitars really fast. Some people are just that talented. There’s one guy who breaks down stuff on Piano. He’s got 2mil subs but I can’t remember his name, but he figured out the Ducktales Moon theme is 15/8 and and freaking out about it and I’m like… I barely know what an 8th note is.

The thing there is 3 of is Summoner, as evidenced by the 3 Bahamuts on screen at the same time. Their class symbol kinda looks like an axe head but think of it more like a dragon's firebreath.
It's been said already, but singer is Chrissy Costanza, she's done a few things you may or may not have heard, a few for League of Legends(Legends Never Die being my favorite of them), she also did the vocals for "Hero Too" from My Hero Academia.
I consider it as more of a wizard hat, personally. XD

I went and found the video and I know nobody cares but the jobs are scholar, sage, dark knight, warrior, monk and then 3 summoners
The rift at the start makes me think of a fighting game character select screen, which I guess is fitting for these raids

The different combat classes in FF14, and their icons:
Tanks:
Paladin: You know the shield
Warrior: Yes, a tank, and yes, the axe.
Gunbreaker: A fancy Z
Dark Knight: Idk how to describe this, it's the tank that's not the other three. Not sure what it's supposed to symbolize, it kinda reminds me of like a christmas tree ngl
Healers:
White mage: A cane
Scholar: Glasses
Astrologian: Two cards
Sage: Several kite-like things, meant to represent the sage's weapons probably
DPS casters:
Black mage: A meteor
Red mage: A rapier
Pictomancer: A painter's brush and palette
Blue mage: A mask
Summoner: A weird satellite dish thing? I think it's meant to be a book stood spine-up on something
Physical ranged DPS:
Dancer: A stylized heart inscribed in a diamond. Looks a bit like a Kingdom Hearts symbol honestly
Bard: A harp
Machinist: A gun
Melee DPS:
Dragoon: a dragon head
Monk: 3 slashes
Ninja: A whirlwind
Samurai: A circle with a curved line through the middle and a little triangle inside
Reaper: A circle and a scythe
Viper: Two fangs
The fancy Z on gunbreaker is the cylinder of the revolver with the blade dividing the halves. The Dark Knight icon is a great sword pointed down that is extra spiky.
The Red Mage icon is ultra clever. It is a rapier but also an inverted white mage icon combined with the black mage fire ball.
The Dragoon one is also clever. It could be both a dragon head or a downward pointed spear representing the jump action.
Summoner is the Summoner horn. In other games, the horn is used to commune with the summon. Think of it as the horn coming of the headband on a side profile.
Samurai is the tsuba and guard of a Katana pointed toward you.
@@Varizen87 makes sense I'd miss the horn since I didn't play earlier games. I recall a summary video I once saw on FF9's story mentioning it though, so it makes sense
