I LOVED watching you two react to this. I remember when this song and video hit in 2012 and it gave me chills then, when it won at the Grammys, and it still gives me chills. I interpret the music video as a story about a guy who has faded into the background while his former lover moves on (when the paint comes off her at the end and she's looking at him but in another chapter of her life while he stays stuck in the past). I also like someone's comment on here about the colors representing a puzzle with multiple pieces/sides to the love story. Fun fact: someone made a parody of this music video called "The Star Wars that I Used to Know" - worth a watch! Also, since this is my first comment on your channel since Tim was fighting COVID, just wanna say how incredibly happy I am to see you both back, healthier, and taking 2022 by storm!

There may be a bit of backlash because of overplay (it was everywhere when it broke), but damn this song is fire. Fire. Worth checking out - State of the Art, by Gotye, or Settle Down, by Kimbra. Bangers.
First time i heard this, I remember thinking, "What a bitch..." and then second verse, "oh...oh, I get it. I totally get it. ...dude, needs to step back. She's gone on to self-preservation." ...like Human League, "Don't You Want Me, Baby."
I listen to this song all the time. It’s in my playlist. This song is a great reminder how important Communication is in a relationship and there’s two side to every story. I don’t know if y’all noticed but in the video she’s up close to his face “singing” and he starts singing over. Basically not trying to listen to what she’s saying but wants her to hear him. That’s a relationship killer. Another one I listen to all the time is back to black from Amy Winehouse. Y’all should listen to that one some day. LP Lost on you is another good one.

I liked their version better!
That song was a huge hit in 2011, probably one of the biggest indie records of the year.
R.E.M. - Losing My Religion
One of the best songs ever made.
Definitely
I loved this song when I first heard it, I listened to it every day for months. Gotye and Kimbra great song.
There may be a bit of backlash because of overplay (it was everywhere when it broke), but damn this song is fire. Fire.
Worth checking out - State of the Art, by Gotye, or Settle Down, by Kimbra. Bangers.
state of the art is a trip
Settle down Yes!
You guys need to find the video of this group all playing one guitar. It’s so cool
I love Walk Off the Earth’s cover of this. It really put them on the map.
Their cover is AMAZING. So worth a watch.
One of my faves ❤️
HOW DO YOU NOT HAVE 1M FOLLOWERS?!!
Kimbra....from New Zealand 🇳🇿 😍 ❤ years, love this song, always have
First time i heard this, I remember thinking, "What a bitch..." and then second verse, "oh...oh, I get it. I totally get it. ...dude, needs to step back. She's gone on to self-preservation."
...like Human League, "Don't You Want Me, Baby."
You guys have such cute reactions 🥰. It’s fun to see you enjoying so many songs. I love Gotye. This song really resonates with me
Firstly, I love this song and I genuinely enjoyed all of this. Hahaha you guys’ entire reactions. Loved it.
You guys... every once in awhile I'll watch a reaction and you guys just lift me right up... trust! Keep doing your thing!
I was just as blown away with this video as you two - incredible song love her both versions (him/hers) - powerful!
