I know why people have trouble understanding this:
We do things automatically, but then we get praised or blamed for these events and we assume our actions were our own. Example:
Years ago I heard there was a creative writing contest in college. I got inspired and wrote something I knew would win.
I did win.
It's true that I have the subjective memory of physically writing a story and entering the contest, but really, my only action was to select a pre-existing timeline which I felt existed.
I like your comment, but I would like to dissect it further. When you were writing your story, what was it like? Were you in a state of flow/did you maintain that assumption that you'd win? Did you not worry?
I understand this concept too, but I am trying to figure out how to put it in words so others may understand.
Even though Neville is my favorite, this is something that other 'spiritual' teachers cover but Neville tends not to as much. Maintaining the state of assumption is easier said than done.
It's almost like the more we focus on the process, the more the desired result fades away. Maybe that's why Neville doesn't cover it as much because its not necessary.
I personally can 'select a pre-existing timeline' too, but I fear that what I'm doing as I'm in the process of merging into that timeline is not matching that pre-existing timeline.

@@DrSeethe No worries. Thanks for the question. I feel like the more we explore this topic, the easier it becomes to bridge the gap between desire and fulfillment.
What I felt when I was writing the short story was a vibe of effortless enthusiasm. Victory felt inevitable.
It's like when you're playing a video game and something clicks, and now you know the attack pattern of the boss so well that you can take your sweet time working him over.
I've felt that way before, and I think everyone has.
Another example is when me and a buddy played this game called 'Mind Ball'.
'Mind Ball' measures your effort in the form of brainwaves, and whoever uses the least amount of effort sends the ball rolling toward the goal in the direction of their opponent.
Me and my buddy held the ball in perfect equilibrium for long time such that the judge got restless.
'Mind Ball' is a game made by neuroscientists, and whatever brainwaves the game was registering as effortlessness is the exact feeling I felt when feeling the vibe. So that sort of pinpoints it.
Now, if we had been wagering money, I don't know how long we could have maintained that effortless vibe. 🤭

Ive also had this at times when ive won money or entered a competition and of course i won but the thing is that feeling came first. It was there, it was mine no doubt but i didnt try to feel lucky or try to win it or get my mind in a state of winning because i was mine. Its like chicken and egg. Did i have a premonition i would win and so gained the confidence or what? Because id like to win now and i keep 'trying' to assume it but as it fails i see that failure and then assume im kidding myself. Its a tricky little game for sure
@@lyndseyanne4022 You're not kidding yourself. I won $150 recently. True, it's not much, but, it certainly came at the right time. I don't know which what you play, but, choose your numbers once. Never mind when they don't come up. There's only one game those numbers can win and that's your game and you have already won. In the meantime, while being persistent, you will have other things to manifest, or go back or forward in time. Neville mentioned that we could do this. He didn't mean that in something less than "actual". I've contemplated the idea of my own soul moving into my 11 year old self. I've attempted this. I must say, it was quite an eerie experience, and much like when we experience that lurching feeling sometimes just before falling asleep, I became alert and in this present. I'm thinking it's like channeling one's self, for me, that 11 year old me. There's a reason why I want to. I want to confront something that was unknown to me. Something that harmed me. Tbh, I still can't say I know precisely what it was. I'm 59 now. I can tell you with all honesty that nothing is impossible and that there are very beautiful and wonder filled places and beings within us. Make no mistake, the door to open is inside of you.
You deserve an award for this. I have never heard anybody describe ANYTHING so eloquently.

I assumed I would own a home with no mortgage by 2006.
At the time I assumed 1 by a specific age. I missed it by 1 year. It happened 1 year earlier.
I thought wait a minute!
So, I started assuming a life I wanted to experience with my wife and family. I see the transition happening right before my eyes. That is an inside job, for me.
Suddenly < is exactly what to expect.

Something to keep in mind piggybacking on “assumptions being pushed out”. When you’re consciously altering your assumption, often times what appears like more of the problem is actually the arrival of the wish fulfilled appearing temporarily as more of the problem. Let the old state exit gracefully.

The Power of the assumption reminds me of a piece of information I noticed on the internet : { A young elephant when tied to a post will not try to escape even when it grows big and strong because of the coding in it's mind from it's struggles during it's youth}. Our reality is based upon a false assumption believed to be true by the subconscious mind for it can only reason deductively that is the 'premise is true the conclusion must be true' which is obviously false but it doe's not know that for it can only reason deductively and [ 'An assumption (for good or for worse) when persisted upoun will harden into fact'. Our freedom of choice allows us too choose our assumption. We are either slaves to our assumption or it's master....Neville Goddard].
I don't have to create anything . Because everything is already created.
I can receive everything.
Because I am that.
I am everything.
I feel it.
Perfect.

So, how do you describe your choice-making?
I currently describe it as: “I do whatever I feel like doing”. I can feel the pull for me to raise this description to something like, “My choices are inspired”.
OR
I can get rid of (as I typed “get rid”, you spoke the words, “getting rid”!) this self-consciousness and be in an HBC flow state at all times.
My assumption is like a forward

This chapter was the most brutal one among the rest, all the chapters carry with them some form of attack on our conditioning and ruined thinking but this one was probably the most eye-opening, especially being put at the end of this amazing book.

Another fantastic chapter Josiah.
Actually, when I tried the ladder experiment, I got to climb a pool ladder in a swimming pool. That visit was arranged prior to me imagining climbing a ladder. Now, that happened only once, so you may argue it's not a solid proof statistically... But it kinda made me uncertain of any free will whatsoever 😀

What does it mean in practical terms - how do i ask god other that repeating that question in my head? because if i assume - how do i know what to assume? Can you please elaborate. Thank you.
