If the 8 ball reset your score it would bring an amazing concept to the rounds, where whenever it spawned it would be teams racing to own goal to punish the opposing team.
I thought about that but I felt it was TOO punishing haha

i always watch these videos of maps u make and it just makes me wish they put you in charge of the map rotations because your so creative with the maps u make. i rlly like this one it looks so fun
Video idea: When scoring a goal, each uninterrupted touch between players on the same team adds one point to the number of points added when that team scores a goal, but the counter resets if the opposing team touches the ball once, and so on.
I would love to see the table to scale... usually the pocket openings are twice the size of the ball if not smaller.. standard pockets are 4.25" and a pool ball is 2.25"
I feel like the way this ends up playing, the holes are too small as is though. If anything I think make the ball bigger & increase gravity or something

Interesting twist could be the teams are either stripes or solids meaning whatever ball spawns (rotating back and forth) they are on offense with a limit on how long they have to shoot giving a single point so either they get the point or are defended for long enough and maybe every fifth ball the 8 ball spawns being like 3 points

Hear me out... as a comeback mechanic the 8 ball just becomes catchup and is very low chance to appear. Wouldnt it make sense to set it to the absolute value of difference between orange and blue teams? so in the case of 56:3, the difference is abs(56-3). Absolute value because if it was 3-56 you still want it to add points. Love your vids leth, have been watching your content for ages
3v3 or even chaos here would make it more interesting, especially if it was instant ball reset instead of a new kick off every time a ball is scored. teams could play off that with balls that are worth less points to possibly nail an open with a swing
i think an actual billiards game mode would be sick. like shooting a ball into another ball would for an actual game of 8 ball

You make some awesome maps. I don't play this game much anymore, and I feel like it's because there isn't much variety. That being said, if some of your maps were added to the game officially, and I was able to queue with randoms, I would most likely play more often. They could set up a section for verified community maps, but I'm not sure how difficult that would be. Mans can dream tho 😉😘

For balance the 8 ball could be whichever is higher (ie. If 8 is bigger then they get 8 points, if they have anything above 8 points it doubles)
You should make it so one of the three holes doubles the score when an 8 ball is put in, another halves your score and the other adds the other teams score to yours and the holes switch each time so you don't know

I think the 8 ball definilty added both teams scroes together then multiplied by 2 then dividied by 2.
I thought the 8-ball was going to half the score so you would try to score on yourself to half the other team's score
Idea. Have boost and supersonic affect only BACKWARDS motion. No boost or supersonic for forward. Driving backwards is a whole different skill!

I'm stuck trying to figure out how a copy paste error messes up doubling a number. It suggests that instead of just doubling, Leth chose to add a number to itself like blue + blue and orange + orange instead of blue * 2 and orange * 2. Which is really weird. But that's kind of a pretty bad copy paste mistake. How do you paste blue + blue and then only change one of the arguments to orange. You'd definitely change both. So now I'm thinking there must be some kind of abstraction/generalization where maybe it was designed to give a flat number of goals as a bonus that was based on a global variable or something so it could be tweaked. Then when the decision was made for it to double the current score instead of being a flat bonus, instead of reworking the whole thing you just update the global variable first and then award that as the bonus. Which leaves open the possibility of copying and pasting some kind of if statement where if blue scores set bonus to blue current score, else set bonus to orange current score. That's a little more understandable to miss when copying and pasting to forget to change the last one to orange. Meaning no matter who scores, whatever blue currently has that's the bonus they're getting.
Is it only giving both teams the blue score or is it giving whichever team scored it equal score to the highest + whatever they have scored? so if orange had 50 and blue 10, blue scores the 8 ball and goes to 60 as the example
