Elder dragon war 🤢🤢🤢. What's that doing in a haughty djinn deck. The Tru deck tech for an izzet djinn deck is mishras command.
It's crazy good. Can usually swing with for lethal out of nowhere when the opponent is tapped out. It pumps him up twice by discard and the actual pump.
Scaling removal and hand smoother B4 you get your djinn out is always nice

      hi,
thanks for your suggestion, really appreciate.
on the first look, of course you re right. an enchantment in a haughty deck?! can t be...
however, you (probably) don t know how i build my decks which i play to climb ladder/in mythic. i usually include some cards which counter the decks i face the most. this month, nr 1 was white weenie. on rank 2 approx same mono red aggro and selesnya enchantments, on 3 dimir, on 4 control piles.
so i need mass destruction against creatures. i played with 3 brotherhoods first, but it was too much. unfortunatly 2 was too less, so i decided to add 1 dragon war. this thing worked quite good, also the token was often useful if i don t need the first 2 chapters. i added a 2nd of and it worked best. it s a nice versatile card.
6 weeks before, this deck would have looked different, in 6 weeks in the future maybe too. i m experimenting with different kind of izzet haughty since the djinn was released and never had that much success with it like this month with this version. might be just luck, of course - i don t have the time to play 10'000s of games and take the average. until i had played this amount, the meta already has changed and i need to do another brew...
if mishras command would be an instant i would probably replace 2 lightning strikes with it, but in the actual meta not a brotherhoods or a dragon war.
btw, i play variants of dimir haughty with planeswalkers...same stupid thing as playing with enchantments, right? but it works quite good ;)
again, thanks for your input and discussion, really appreciate :)
      have fun

@@phantasmsplaygroundif you want an instant then vampires vengeance is also a tech you could be using. It's a baby dragon war. Instant and creates a blood token for cycling. Comes down a turn earlier vs those Thalia and soldier decks
Mishras command being a sorcery don't matter when it wins you the game when you suddenly win with haughty djinn. And would replace slip out the back instead of lightning strike. As your djinn won't be left vulnerable for an entire turn cycle.

      @@luisgutierrez8047 hi,
yes, with vengeance i am always experimenting too. it s nice, since it doesn t need 2 red mana. also the token is nice in this strategy.
of course if you need the command only for giving haste to the djinn it doesn t matter if it s a sorcery or instant, but if it was an instant and i could terminate creatures in the opponents turn i would like the card more ;)
it just need s too much build around (many cards in the graveyard) and timing (depending on strategy opponent should be tapped out) if i like to play it to give the djinn haste. been there, didn t like it. most of the time it s a almost dead or suboptimal card.
i prefere the defensive possibility via slip out (a card which i like very much since it can be offensive too if used to phase opponents creatures).
anyays, people play different. if you would ask reid duke he would maybe answer that mono blue tempo is superior, but i m not reid duke, i have more success with djinn izzet or djnn dimir :)
maybe i just play it wrong when using the command...
thanks for the discussion, cool :)

@@phantasmsplayground LOL, made my day "but i m not reid duke".
A pity you don't talk during gameplay. I'm sure this would be entertaining :-)
Back to topic, I agree with you and wouldn't play Mishra's Command atm. It's just a win-more card in most situations.
Edit: Duke wouldn't play Skitterfang or Life of Toshiro Umezawa, but you do and successfully. That's why I like your vids. Keep up!

@@testerfritz :) glad you have fun here.
probably duke would reach mythic nr 1 easily with a deck of 22 swamps, 19 skitties and 19 toshiros. lucky for us such a deck is not allowed to play!
