its so true how grocery bills differ state to state. a gallon of milk in the city in Massachusetts we lived in for 6 years was usually 4 bucks...we moved randomly to the midwest and can get milk for 1.99 its crazy. so instead of spending roughly $180 in mass a week for a family of 5 now we pay around 110-140 I cant imagine how expensive CALI is
The most I’d spend for groceries would be like $200 -$300 but that’s with like living by my self or for two people I can’t imagine for 7 people but you guys always make things happen I really support this channel and definitely one of my favorite family channels
Completely understand about the spending when you have lots of kids and also having to cater to friends and family my aunt spends like 4 thousand a month she has 8 kids has people in her house all the time cooks full cooked meals she is a true angel but damnnnnn it’s a lot of money on food but she loves it
Costco trees that aren’t pre-lit are amazing!! It’s the lights that cause the problems. It’s better to buy a tree without lights anyways in case they burn out in a few years!
I feel for you i have two fractures in both ankles n my right arm tendon is wrapped around my nerves n hurts so much n im not use to sitting still even when i went through colon cancer n lyme etc i was always moving around due to the fact i was a sous chef n miss it i do love watching both of ur channels brings my life joy so ty
We live in Alaska and Costco is BY FAR the best place for us to get produce. Well, anything really 😂 Smaller stores have high price tags and Walmart... oh boy, we’ve bought stuff and it’s bad the next day so we quit with them!
Hi from New Zealand, I was just thinking wow the chicken is very reasonably priced there, I'm pretty sure if converted to NZ dollars it works out way more expensive here. In the weekends when cooking a roast with veggies or other types of meals I always make extra then freeze them in containers so when we are busy working throughout the week we can just take a meal with us to work. After work we just have something light it's so much easier for our lifestyle. Thanks for sharing your tips etc
Do you clean your own home or do you have a cleaning company come in so often & do it for you? Either way if you do clean your own home would you mind doing a video on the chemical brands you buy & love & why you’ve stuck with those brands. If you don’t clean yourself would you tell us how much a cleaning company charges you & how often you have them come to you. Also do you have them clean just the basics or do you have them deep clean? Also what’s your daily routine like? With such a big family I’d assume it’s pretty busy all the time. Do y’all have a schedule or do you just deal with whatever comes up for that day & how do you approach it to. If you have bills to pay do you work on that before leaving your home or do you just have them all set to automatic payments. I’d also be interested in knowing who plans all the bills out for the month or do y’all have like a financial assistant to help out with the stressful parts like figuring out how much you’ll have for groceries, kids needs & wants, date nights, friend nights etc. I do most of the Financial planning my husband tried to do it when we first got married, but he was really bad at it & we would be broke most of the time because he didn’t know how to budget, plan, & be organized. We also give each other an allowance budget for each paycheck & save the rest for emergencies like doctor visits or just random things that might pop up, I like to be ready for those kinds of situations. Like recently my kids got the flu it was $50 for co-pay to see our pediatrician & $100 for their prescriptions. & you totally don’t have to show us anything it’d just be cool to see how other family’s stay on top of their stuff. My family is a family of 5 & we also have pets 2 dogs & 1 cat lol 😂 I love you’re mommy channel❤️ it’s a stress relief watching your videos lol sometimes I feel like I’m going crazy lol I only have 3 kids so when I watch your videos I feel better because you have 5 kids & you Manage to survive lol so I know I can get through it too lol love ya Melissa hope you have a wonderful day with your lovely family ❤️
😱 You have a two thousand dollar food budget. I wish we could have that, we don't even bring that much in monthly for a family of three. Our food budget is one hundred and seventy dollars a month. We don't qualify for food stamps as our budget is to much. We always get items from the back as well.
We live in Vancouver Canada!! And our Costco bill is about $400 but we buy meat too. You might want to look into a food saver buy big packs a meat you can spartiate the meat for your meals it last us a month also you can make meals with like chicken lemons or fish then you frezz it ❤
Iowa doesn't have Costco but we do have Sam's Club. For things a person uses often (ketchup, peanut butter etc) the prices for a 2 pack is usually fantastic. Meat is ridiculously expensive here too. I am a senior (old) lady - to cut down on my grocery costs I only have 2 meals a day. I watch online & paper for sales. Jeff - most of the stores here have samples too & the guys shopping are the ones chowing. Sooooo funny. Thanks for sharing, love your family.
I live in Las Vegas the cheapest a gallon of milk like generic store name brand gets is $2.90-$3, but if your looking into horizon & the other “bougie” milks lol they’re $6. Bread is close to $3 at any local grocery store, but we go to Sam’s club. So at Sam’s club all types of bread & tortillas you get 2 packs for $5, & each pack has quite a bit more than Walmart, Smith’s, Vons, or Albertsons single bag of bread. It honestly just depends on what your family likes & how fast y’all go through it.
We’re a family of 3 soon to be 4 and we average about $700-$800 a month and that includes household stuff, cleaners etc we try to budget but it seems impossible 🤷🏼♀️😅
Home depot sells a smart tree I believe it's called twinkly and you can control it with your phone , its amazing (pretty pricey) britney and baby did a video on the one they got I love it !
spouts have great stock up sells and if you do there online coupons they are great too.. Safeway also has online coupons.. if you look there it will help you safe a lot too. if you look at costco online coupons they may have hidden coupons that will not be in there flyers.
I cook everything from scratch save a fortune that includes making our bread and grinding our meat, will make the sausages / burgers ect - pizza make from scratch save a fortune all so tastes better, cakes muffins too eating out never happens lol costs way too much ! all that equals a tight budget hahaha
I got my 7 foot xmas tree at target i got it 2 Black Fridays ago and I absolutely love it it went from 230 too 35 dollars it was an awesome deal n easy to put up
@@charizardx8157 I just have a process that I try hard to stick to. I plan a menu, shop my kitchen first, then make my list for the store. I shop 4 different stores, and never go hungry or with kids lol. I try to leave a little bit of wiggle room for special things.
I’m not even an adult but I love these videos so much 😂

Would love to see a check in at the end of the month. I have been trying to watch the food budget and love seeing others too!
My Costco doesn't have fancy jackets for the cold areas. Prob cuz I'm in Canada, they just assume we're used to the cold 😂
Melissa Blais same! I’m in michigan😂

I use to always buy those balanced break packs but they were so expensive so I started making them myself and it saves a lot of money!
Balsam Hill Christmas Trees. They are expensive but well worth it!!
Balsam Hill trees are AMAZING!!!! We had one for 12 years before we needed to get a new one!

Love great value cheese! The grocery rule of thumb we use is $100/person/month. Works good!
Balsam hill trees last forever and you can get ones that are in pre lit sections which makes it super easy to set up! Worth the investment for sure!
There is an app you can get called Flipp FLIPP that will upload the flyers for the stores around you locally to help you budget
Love watching you can you please do a budget planning video and how you and your family save for Bill's and fun activities.
Thanks for sharing!! I love Costco hauls!
Balsam trees are the best!!!

A really good place to get deals on a lot of items is Aldis in my opinion. :) I’ve tried a lot of their name brand items and it’s not bad at all.
I love your Costco videos can you please make them more often . I know it may sound silly but can you make a video of a how you freeze your food?
It was fun watching your Costco shopping trip. ☺
We’ve had a Martha Stuart Christmas tree for years! Love it still looks brand new

I check online circulars and compare prices. This way, I know exactly what I'm going to buy before I even get there.
This is so cool and nice. I love this video. Xx❤️👍

I do a online grocery shopping list & then compare Superstore with Walmart & watch how much it comes to for 1 adult
I live in Canada we are a family of seven. We spend at least 800-1000 a month on food.
We go to Costco once a month. We then go to Walmart. We have a certain budget and we have to stay with it.

I have 2 pre-lit trees from Costco and both have been awesome. I’ve had one for 5 years. Sorry you’ve had bad luck with them.

Have you thought about Pinterest for food idea for when you plan for a week or more. I'm just now doing it and I love it for my little family.
Hey to you both and the girls. Love your videos
I do the same thing with the dates!!!
Go to Home Depot. They have awesome trees! My family has had it for 7 years and had no problems yet!
i always get my trees at lows
Food/general grocery prices in australia are ridiculous too!
None yet that's why I watch the grocery hauls
I broke my finger bone the same way I had to tape it to the finger next to it and it was so annoying 😭
Literally my family isn't that big, but he manage to spend a lot on food because we're vacuum cleaners-
I don’t like the great value cheese either. It gets moldy before it is out of date.
Hi Melissa love your videos amazing Cynthia Boucher
Walmart brand is called"Great Value"
I’m curious about the target brand cheese
We spend about 200 a week for 5
Outstanding
I love Walmart brand cheese I actually prefer a lot of great value products over the name brand
Do you guys have a aldi or trader Joe's?
Granted, I dont have 5 kids, but 470 some dollars is like 4-5months of food for my family of 4. I about died when she said 2000 dollars a month...
Lacey Ross $470 for 5 months for a family of four? we spend 400 for a month for a family of 3. 😂
@@charizardx8157 i try my hardest to keep that budget down.
Lacey Ross that’s true! my boyfriend gets mad that I buy so much 😂
