In this video, we delve into two landmark cases from Madhya Pradesh that have reshaped the landscape for aspiring judicial officers and LLM students. The Madhya Pradesh High Court's ruling in Devansh Kaushik vs. The State of Madhya Pradesh (2024) upholds a crucial amendment to Rule 7 of the MP Judicial Service Rules, 1994. This amendment mandates that candidates for the Civil Judge exam must either have three years of practice as an advocate or secure a minimum of 70% marks in their bachelor's degree in law. Chief Justice Ravi Malimath and Justice Vishal Mishra emphasize that this change aims to ensure only the best candidates are selected for judicial service.
We also explore the Garima Khare vs. The High Court of Madhya Pradesh & Anr case, where the Supreme Court dismissed petitions challenging the validity of Rule 7(g), reinforcing the High Court's stance.
Additionally, we cover the requirements for the LL.M. Two Year (Four Terms) Course. This full-time program is exclusive to those not engaged in employment, trade, or any other occupation, with students required to provide an affidavit confirming the same at admission.
This video is crucial for candidates preparing for CLAT PG, AILET PG, CUET LLM PG, and other competitive law exams, offering deep insights into recent judicial rulings and academic prerequisites.
