Relying on celebrity power has been their strategy since David Beckham. In the case of a certain unnamed man-bun-wearing bigmouth, if you didn't rely on his celebrity power, he would literally refuse to pass the ball to you, and ignore you if you passed the ball to him, because it was all about him. Played for the name on the back of his shirt, and expected you to do the same. Increasingly, it looks like the strategy of bringing in celebrities and expecting to rake up the hardware doesn't seem to be paying off.
Galaxy need to learn a different style of play, start breaking down the opponent differently, they also need to learn the movement and key attributes of their attackers and goal scorers, you can’t hopefully be excepting chicharito to win headers most of the time against 6 foot plus Cb’s
I have been watching a lot of MLS games over the last months and again, as mentioned in some comments before these teams have potential. Mainly in the technical development. Still, in terms of tactical organization and understanding the principles of the game, when attacking and defending it's completely on the down side. A good example of what I am mentioning above is the fact that in 90% of the games the Team that starts the game, in the 1st or 2nd half, always do long shot. Literally, delivering automatically the ball to their opponent, or in the eventuality that getting the ball it stays in a disadvantage in terms of numbers of players. Another visible example are the 1st and 2nd goal from Austin. LA Galaxy Team has 0 support from the midfielders. Literally 0. No one comes and helps the defence creating something called "Balance" or "Concentration". The tactical behavior and presence from these Teams needs to be improved. Exploring lines and make the Midfielders understand that they are a vital part of the collective game and without them is just individuals running with the ball.
I trust Greg. I just want to believe he's gonna create in Galaxy what he did in Toronto but my patience is about dead... That was the game that we have to win. That was the game that we have to end the streak. That was the game that we can start to believe again but same sh*t over and over again. I hoping Greg and staff finds solution...
Honestly I didn't put all the blame on Greg from the start either. I trust he can gain valuable experience for Austin, and with the right players like Djitte, and Driussi playing their actual positions we *can* become as competent as, as seen here, the LA Galaxy. I think it's just a few of our players that can be a hinderance, like I'm sorry l, but Domingez is just way too inconsistent to have been depended on as our striker for as long as he was this season. He seems to have been doing okay this game, but his wage is too high for the results he brings
That’s a good question probably because LA galaxy jerseys are similar to ours so it will be a but difficult to make out the differences between the team on the field so that’s probably why Austin went with their away jerseys
“He’s gonna be big. He’s gonna be physical… and like most MLS players he’s either gonna completely miss the goal or limp-shoot it straight at the goalie.”

LA Galaxy's strategy is simple: feed the ball to Chicharito.
The Little Pea gets every ball...

Tbf chicha had many opportunities to score and he didn't put power on his shots just tried to finesse them past stuver.
Good job Austin and great strike Orrin!
Don't know why I thought they were going to show Tom and Bert in the highlights.
thats what happens when you miss your chances
Reminds me a bit of Danny Rose's first goal at Tottenham!

Don't MLS goalies know that you are supposed to catch the ball, not punch it ?
how many times did they give possession away b/c the fucking keeper doesn't just hang onto the ball, so fucking stupid and cowardly
