The more Hook faces talent enhancement the better he'll become the long run, I'm enjoying these Hook squashes.
Hook can't talk that is why he is spinning his wheels. They tried to put him with Danhausen so Faghausen could do the promos but it just put Dans stink allover Hook instead.
I'd hardly call DKC enhancement talent. He, like most of the LA Dojo, can go. They need to stop with the squashes and start giving Hook more competitive matches. He's already pretty talented and looks good, but he's no Goldberg. Hell, he's not even his old man yet. He can't keep looking invincible, especially when he starts wrestling in the mid card

No, going over enhancements isn't going to help him, he needs competitive matches so he learns what to do when he's a main eventer.

It also helps that Hook has the natural physique and ring gear of a legit wrestler, while Dominik has the look and physique of a grocery bagger.
I'm not someone who thinks everyone needs to be a body builder in wrestling, there are multiple good body types, but Dominik doesn't look like he's even trying to look like a wrestler. Like Eddie Kingston has a belly, but he also has muscle underneath, and presents himself like a big fighter. Dominik just looks like a dorky flabby teenager, especially next to his father who was a top class physical specimen for years.
Especially for someone like Dominik, who you KNOW literally just got the job because of who his dad is, it puts pressure on him to make him look like he's putting in the work, but from his physique to his movement in the ring, his offense, his mannerisms, his selling, he just doesn't look like he is putting in the work the way you can tell Hook clearly has.
He just proved his own point by calling him Damien.
Hook seriously has the potential to be the future face of AEW. He should go for the TNT title some time this year.

Wow. It's another short match, but honestly this feels less like a squash and more like the match was just _extremely quick._ Hook really sold DKC's offence when he got cornered, and his counterattack was much _angrier_ than usual. When he laid into DKC in the corner at 1:57 after that forearm to the face, I was getting chills watching him. His psychology is improving even more every time he wrestles, and it was already great from the start.
HOOK is a future Champion and Hall-of-Famer. He has IT. Every match he's featured in so far is of 5-star quality.
I'm sorry but that's nonsense. Almost all hi matches are squash matches so they're far from five star BUT they are what he needs and he is being booked very well.
I'm happy to see DKC in a AEW ring. For people who dont know.. DKC some years ago was in a placed called CLW (Cactus League Wrestling). Which had people like Killer Kross, and Murder Hawk Lance Archer to name 2 people who was also there. I'm glad he training in NJPW Dojo and still keeping his Karate Persona no matter where he goes. :)

i wasn't a fan of hook. but looking at his wrestling, he actually stands out from the rest of the roster who does random spots after spots. Hook's got my attention
Random is good. Less predictable. All of hooks matches run the same way. High crotch throws, a corner spot, some judo throws, the crossface strikes then the submission. In that order.

@@tainowarrior5781 No professional fighter is going to do random moves just to pop fat neckbeards in the crowd. A fighter is going to keep doing what works until it doesn't. Your indy slap-kick gymnasts will do anything to get a reaction, though.

@@TribalThief it's part of his charm now. We get to see a comedy act which is popular, get the same spotlight as Goldberg while being sort of a mascot.
The relationship between them is pretty interesting and weird. Hook was a bad guy, he helped cheat. He didn't liked Danhausen, pushed him away. But that weird self nominated wizard. No real powers, just a coincidence that usually is likely to happen. Got his debut and Lost. In few seconds, but thanks to Mark Sterling. Who jumped on the apron and distracted Danhausen, so that Tony Nese could go straight for his finished set up. Danhausen see potential and tries to make friends with Hook. Offers him chips and stuff. Hook with time realizes that Danhausen is not just some creep, but actually is pretty ok dude.
It doesn't turn Hook to comedy act. It makes Danhausen comedy act more over. While the strange dynamic between such a different style of characters keeps the interest of the tag team of Hookhausen. Hook never turned Face, he got over from his Debut with face reaction from the crowd while working heel. Goldberg comparison is from Goldberg Streak. Hook has a streak, and it doesn't seem that he will lose in a long time. He gets better, he started pretty damn good. Kid is a star in a making. And Danhausen got over by himself, people knew him before AEW while most likely his biggest show he performed at was RoH. He got over by social media. Best thing is, this story is unpredictable and exciting, because it does have two over acts, interacting with each other while going to the big Streak of Hook.
