Thanks for taking the time to explain the process and to show all the details of your excellent work. Lots of work goes into making one of these. You’re awesome! Peanut drinking water was a bonus. I love the design. Both look absolutely amazing JP. Have a good day. ✋✨✋✨
Love the video, the rings turned out really nice. Please can you tell me where can I get a side pouring mould just like yours and a drill mandrel? Thank you.
The drill mandrel i made using a piece of broom stick, i show making it in another ring video,,themould i found on etsy and i drilled out pouring hole and vent holes to suit my needs..Thanks sallyanne
Great video! Thank you for sharing. I prefer the delft rings you have compared to mine. Yours has cut outs for pouring and venting. I’m gonna have to see if I can locate them. :)
Great video, you made it look easy compared to others! I have to ask though, where did you get those particular casting rings? Or did you make it yourself? Cheers bud
Thanks. I got the casting rings from DIY CASTINGS they sell on Etsy, they are made well i did adapt mine a little they work great. I do not have a link but i am sure you will find them easy enough.
Found the bloke and placed my order! Thanks a lot buddy, this design casting flask will work much better then the simple design that is out there. Watched your video a dozen times, great work and will keep an eye out for any more videos you make! All the best
The problem is that gold needs more than 1000 Celsius to melt. This requires a very special gas burner. Most crucibles cool the gold too quickly, causing the gold to harden before it fills the mold. So it's not that easy to get the right equipment and especially that is not cheap.
Mapp gas or a propane/air torch can and does easily melt gold. It costs about 80 usd or so. Benzomatic ts8000, mapp or even mapp pro is more than enough to get the job done. If you're able to afford the gold then you can certainly afford the torch head and gas canister. And crucible.
The pup taking a drink earned an instant like!
