Lori! Thank you 🙏 so glad this helped you get some ice going for you again 😃 Just a note if you have a water softener or some water treatment at your location you may be able to set the machine to run for 12 months instead of 6 before it shows FLT again If you wish you can change this setting by holding CLEAN and SIZE for 3-5 seconds Once done successfully it will show HSC (high scale content) once you release it you hold those buttons again it should change to LSC (low scale content) and get you an additional 6 months on that filter Please note anyone reading this: Only do this if you have a water softener or conditioner…DO NOT do this if you do have hard water this is not recommended as the filter won’t be able to do its job past 6 months and may wear out other components in the machine 😢
Thanks for your patience, typically as long as you press the “light and “clean” buttons at the same time for 3-5 seconds while the machine is running it should reset the timer counter that said, we have seen some scenarios when pressing the “light” and “clean” button at the same time didn't register with the computer control for some reason so it does not actually reset the timer counter. and thus you get the FLT message before the 6 months time. best suggestion is to unplug the machine for at least 10 mins to let the capacitors discharge, Plug it back in and once it boots up, make sure the machine is turned on and filling , and then proceed to hold the “light “ and “clean” buttons for 3-5 seconds
Hi Kay! Thanks for your comment, we always recommend if you are having an issue with your particular unit to call the technical service line and they can walk you through any initial steps, as you never want to void your warranty. They will talk through next steps and guide you whether you’re in warranty or not :) Here is the number at your next convenience (844) 746-9423 Make sure you are near the machine and can read them the serial number off of the sticker on the left upper interior wall 👍
Hey @essentialserviceproviderin4511 thank you for the question, if the ice machine model number ends with a “D” there is an update kit available, so far getting this update kit is the only way we have seen to fix this issue Typically True Ice Machines are warrantied for 3 years “bumper to bumper” meaning if it’s less than 3 years old from date of purchase, we would recommend calling True Tech Support @ (844) 746-9423, press option 2 for service and then option 1 for residential, give them the serial number from your machine tag found on left wall inside machine - and let them know the symptoms. They can walk you through steps to check and can dispatch next steps if service update kit is needed. Hope this helps
@@essentialserviceproviderinc. Yes, correct this is for any TUI models with model number ending in the letter “D” There is an updated water valve kit and programming USB stick that changes how the machine fills to not overwhelm and run the drain system to long to cause this error code. If you have a system that is showing “LNG fil” this is the update needed.
Thank you for each step. My ice machine is working again...
