Im not saying everything has to be funny or entertaining to you, but, it’s so much simpler to just tune out until your interest is peaked later.

He basically took away the fear of all the animals, which I think was the best way to advocate for the animals. Obviously there is a negative and reasons you should never own certain animals but this was a great representation of don’t be fearful but also don’t think every animal could be a pet.

I'd say it's more absent mindedness or selective concentration than intentionally not listening.
