What a cool story this is Steven, and one that I admit I didn't know anything about! Dahlonega is one of the few places in the mountains that I don't visit much, mostly because all of Atlanta does! I vaguely remember seeing the stone pile as a child but that was LONG ago! It's quite possible that it's a grave. The Cherokee in the area couldn't bury their folks very deep, so they often used stones to cover graves, sometimes making actual burial plots out of the stones for entire families, creating stone mounds. They also didn't have Kings and Princesses but allowed the white folks to title their Chieftain families as such so people would know that they were to be respected. (They are big on honesty and respect!) I know of a plant in Canton, Georgia that was built over Cherokee graves and had trouble from day one of operation! It's now an apartment complex and it still has its share of trouble and ghostly sightings, so it wouldn't surprise me that her grave is haunted and cursed if you disrespect it. No grave should ever be disrespected, anyway! Thanks for telling me about this! I'll have to go up and visit one day. I'll bring a pretty piece of quartz rock to make her happy too! Y'all take care now! May God bless you and yours. 😊
@@nancyholcombe8030 it happened to several. And for some, it was their parents and children who were removed for progress. Selfishly, I'd care a lot more if they tried to exhume my daughter.
I believe that there’s things we can’t explain or control. It seems that NA folklore presents a strong case of substantial evidence.
@@thomastiefel7922 it sure does dont it thank you

See sad building atop a grave sight like that
Hubby's Cherokee Great Grandma was exhumed and moved by Imminent Domain. It's like they didn't matter.
@@jannitanolen-bevers5672 I'm so sorry that happened to y'all.
