It is a pity Eric and Graham cannot sort out their differences. They wrote beautiful songs and with Eric on vocals, it puts the icing on the cake!!!!! Life is too short., I hope they don't end up regretting it.
Suzy G I 'm sure no one except Eric & Graham know what goes on between them. It must be hard to hear your songs being sung by new members with your former partner but also Eric has said he doesn't enjoy touring and Graham seems to. For all we know they have sorted it all out. Glory days feelings never change a mixture of joy and pain both then and now. Difference is they were living in the moment back then and you tend to want to move on pursue new adventures creatively. Also healthwise after his1979 car crash Eric tragically lost his left eye had hearing damage in one ear. Was out of the biz for 6 mths which changed the bands dynamics. Came back in eary 1980's with Graham and more hits.
+ Tarn Sand and Suzy G, reading Eric's autobiography "Things I Do For Love," I was able to understand a bit more about the differences they can not sort out. Of course it's a shame, but there are certain things that come to wear out in a relationship - whatever the relationship is - that the best thing is to follow different paths.
It seems that Eric is happy with his retired life with his beloved family, and he doesn't want to put up with someone who he doesn't consider as his real friend. Graham hasn't been a royal and honest friend for Eric, so I don't blame him. I hope they stop using Eric's photo to promote his tour. It is misleading and conniving. 10cc-dublin-E2ISTLFBKHV
I agree, and although sad that the end came, the material Eric has recorded since then has continued the original ethos of the group, i.e. great, yet funny, and sometimes thoughtful lyrics together with brilliant instrumentation. It saddens me that GG still insists on touring as 10cc - its more like a tribute band now.
10cc are my favourite band of all time. So clever, so well-thought out, so funny. All that said though...Eric and Graham really look like they are just going through the motions here. Thanks for posting Annie. I just subscribed.
Eric is a fantastic musician but many of these songs are out of his key ..he never sang lead on many of these originally. The line up Graham has now is totally red hot...I saw them at Falkirk yesterday and the songs were spot on....didn't think I would like them as much but the music sounds better than ever and they have one of the finest rock guitarists in Britain.
They really don't seem to be enjoying themselves, looks more of a chore to me, plus one more thing I wish GG didn't tour as 10cc, in my books 10cc is Eric, Graham, Lol ans Kevin x

Check out: "WAX" ...with Graham Gouldman and Andrew Gold - very 80´s - but still brilliant!

Shame that Eric and Graham never reunited with Lol and Kevin.
