    In other news, Myles Garrett had 1 tackle, no assists, no sacks in Cleveland's loss to the Giants. I watched the NFL's highlights of that game, and he did have a couple of QB pressures, although he was only double teamed on literally one play the entire game. PFF graded Garrett at 92.6 (compared to the 72.6 (!) that PFF gave TJ Watt).

      @nabotpowaa 3 дня назад +9

      Pff is total garbage cincy biased fake analytics company. I'm sorry I don't even know how they rate their pass rush win rate but they gave TJ this week 11%. There is not a single defensive player that moves the needle more than half a point in Vegas. TJ is actually worth almost a TD (actual career stats). PFF's bias has made them a total joke...

      Garrett would never get a holding call. They probably recognize that unlike Steelers Fanbois

    • @nabotpowaa
      @nabotpowaa 2 дня назад +2

      @@johnniehus what you say is just silly there. Of course Garrett doesn't get holding calls. Neither does TJ, neither does Max Crosby, or prime Von miller and so on. Elite edge rushers are so far ahead of the OLs in the current CBA that if you gave them a level playing field no offense could work against the defenses that have them. The NFL wants the skill players and QB to be their stars, not defenders, and they don't want 3&out on every drive. That's why officials can't call holdings every time it's deserved.

    I was born in Pittsburgh in 1970. My memories of watching the Steelers started when I was four years old watching Super Bowl IX. Started playing football (full pads, full contact) when I was in second grade, with heroes like Greene, Lambert, Ham, Blount, Greenwood, Shell, Swann, Stallworth, Harris, Blier, Webster, Bradshaw, etc. Of course I had the privilege of remembering watching the Steel Curtain.
    Then I had the privilege of watching the second coming of the Steel Curtain in the 2000s. (I was divorced in 2004, as it just so happens when Ben started, and after the divorce never missed a Sunday afternoon game at the Steeler room at a local sports bar in Florida dominated by Steelers fans.) Farrior, Foote, Aaron Smith, Casey Hampton, Troy, Ryan Clark, Joey Porter, James Harrison, Lamar Woodley, Brett Keisel, Ike Taylor, good lord. Not to mention The Bus, Ben throwing to Hines Ward, Heath Miller, Santonio, Antonio. It's just been a damn privilege as a football fan and a Pittsburgh native.
    And now I get to see Watt, Fitzpatrick, and Heyward on this squad with these promising young players. I hope Benton, Herbig, JPJ, and Payton Wilson all realize where they are right now and work like maniacs to live up to the greatness they're following, (also all these new investments on offense, Broderick Jones, Zach Frazier, Troy Fantanu, Patrick Washington).
    I don't care about stats, I'm a huge fan of Najee. The guy got stuck in a substandard offense with a substandard OC and really substandard blocking, and has fought like hell on every run for every inch, welcomes contact, and has great character, not to mention he has that quality of falling forward for an extra 2-3 yards that stood out as soon as he replaced Conner.
    Pickens is just the real deal from the start. God if Fields sees where he is right now and redoubles his efforts to be great, this could be exciting.

    This video reminds me of a conversation KC Hampton had where he said the following: "I'm getting double teamed, and you come in a clean up for the sack." 🤣🤣🤣. I think as a fan base, we are so aware and grateful of his greatness on the field and off. He deserves to win a Superbowl.

    Can you talk about the blitz call after the Fields turnover? That changed the game, but no one is really talking about it and it's not something I expected from Austin/Tomlin. That blitz and sack by Roberts stopped that drive on the first play and knocked Herbert out of the game. If they don't do that and Herbert turns that turnover into points it's a completely different game.

      @@ifeeltheneedfospeed2339 How an offense plays against an edge rusher shouldn't be used to evaluate his performance. The officials often ignore the holds on Watt. It's an opinion by media how the title is awarded.

      @ifeeltheneedfospeed2339 3 дня назад +1

      @raymondrak961 I agree. They don't give the award to the person who deserves it (TJ Watt), they give it to their favorite player. It's been a popularity contest for awhile now. Great vid. I love you showing that even when he doesn’t make the play, his mere presence makes it easier for others to make plays. Also, Herbig has BEAST potential. I didn’t see much of any drop off in play when he stepped in for Highsmith. Really nice to have a guy like that who can step up and make plays when called upon.
