"So many flavors, I don't know what's going on..." -Shizuka, 2023 lol Everything looks so yum! I shouldn't have watched this while fasting. Thanks for taking us along!
I really liked that plate with the different curries. It would be great to be able to taste a bunch of different curries, instead of only 1, during a meal.
I love your clips, based on food, with you gentle and punctual comments and entertainment and explanation of what we are watching. Keep doing the good job. Greetings from Italy
oh YAY MAGIC SPICE is easily one of my favorite restraunts ever. Every trip to Japan I MUST visit there and enjoy. Absolutely one of the best soup currys ever
Nearly shouted at the screen when I saw you went to Ponipirika. I went there once in 2016 and the #4 level soup curry was more than enough heat for me. Super delicious there
I will definitely go for the highest spicy food even higher than the last food Shizuka ate and the crews. Also I would love Japan By Food to come to my country to try all the spicy foods 😅 (don't worry, we have non spicy foods too)
Another wonderful video, every single dish looked delicious, I do enjoy dishes that are more spicy then usual. All I know is that I'm going to visit this place. Your content is really enjoyable and keep up the good work.
I think for a person with a bit higher spice tolerance, even the last place would be manageable and enjoyable. It was spicy but you could still enjoy the taste!
After watching this channel for a year, it is confirmed Japanese are obsessed with soup, I love soup, BTW I loved this episode and was surprised not to see a single Indian? Are there like communities for different groups in Japan?
"...and I'm growing a moustache." 🤣 I can do a decent level of spice but it's not a fun time. That first curry sampler had great presentation, though! I'd love to try that. So when are we gonna see Shizuka on Hot Ones?
I love spicy food but there’s a point where there’s no flavor and just pain. But with that being said I would love to try those, they looked delicious. 🌶️
Absolutely love curry specially lamb. Agreed love how the 1ST place looks. Looks like the curry is shredded. Looks like a delicious meat pie. I would have a few Kiren to wash it down. 2ND place. I was patiently waiting for you to try Lever 7 Spice. Congrats. Absolutely loved your reaction walking into your 3RD place. Yum banana. Cheers on 20 peppers. Absolutely love seeing your eyes water and your noise sniffing because of Spice. 1ST place with the meat curry pie was the winner for me. Absolutely Loved Every Minute
I just had lunch and now I'm hungry again! I was beginning to lose faith and considered that I may need to move to Thailand instead of Japan when I leave the USA. I had kind of lost hope about spicy food in Japan after the Devil's BBQ closed due to The Bug! They had a dish known as the "Sudden Death Hambagu" which was supposed to be one of the most spicy dishes in Tokyo. I guess I will never find out unless someone can find out what happened to them and if they just moved or cashed out completely! I am so wanting to hit up that psychedelic place! That one is showing real promise! Watching you go for that last dish has got me all excited about getting there! If and when that happens we need to meet and have a challenge over who can handle the most heat! I'm well known here for having lava level heat tolerance so, it could be interesting! This is a fun video! You need to do more just like it! The field is full of players so you have plenty of material at hand! Regarding your ending questions, a friend and I have traveled all over the East Coast of America. We've hit many places that claimed to have really hot food. Most of them Asian restaurants. Each time we offered to pay double per serving if they made it so hot we couldn't eat it! After more than 20 years we have never had to pay up! What do you think about the places you tried? Will they beat us?
That all looks very delicious! I have a pretty good heat tolerance and I like it when my curry hurts a little, so I think I'd give the spiciest one a try.
@6:26 that was a nice Japanese mannered person!!!! 😂👌🏻 Nice vid I been twice to shimokitazawa but wow I’m not into that spicy!!!! 🥵 I can go co co curry level 4 that’s will do me!!! 😬
@14:00 #MagicSpice Aumair Curry took down the #JapanbyFood team (LOL) Kyuyam-tei Shimokita-sou curries were very interesting in terms of consistency . I'm used to seeing curry in a gravy that borders between sauce and soup . Three heavy meals in this episode - kudos to you all for making it through !
This girl is way too nice, cause @6:27 when that person literally walked in front of their shot, I wouldve had to say something to that rude old person.
looks very spicey, the reactions got me reachin' for my water bottle, when the spice level is overtaking the flavor though it's too much, I like it when you can taste something, so I'd love to try these out as it seems there's lots of flavor as well
I’ve never been to Japan before now that I watched ur streams it’s on my bucket list now lol what’s the best city to visit for great food and sightseeing
You we're brave Shizuka I would try the spicy one's as well. I love spicy curry a lot. Most of people don't. They looked delicious and the restaurants so nice.
Great tour JbF and host Shizuka, generally Japanese curry is mild and somewhat has a sweetness to it...not as spicy as the eastern asian neighbors...Thai, Indian, Korean type currys. With consideration to tourists, one would think Tokyo curry restaurants would cater to palates that are more adjusted a higher level of zest.
My workplace used to be in this area, and I would always go to Shimokitazawa for lunch. I would literally walk past Magic Spice every workday (and I’ve eaten there several times), so it’s pretty surreal to see it here. I don’t recognize the other two shops though, which is making me feel like a failure. (To be fair, I think the first one opened after I stopped working there, but I’m not sure what my excuse is for not knowing the second restaurant.)
Really would you like to review "咖喱屋ボングー" in Shinjuku. The curries in your vid seem experimental in nature, haven't found their grooves yet. But Bon Gout's is novel and well established, has sound culinary foundation.

Shizzling hot 🥵
I love when restaurants explain the best way to enjoy a dish as it’s part of why I go out to eat.
Totally agree!
いつもながら、その街やロケーションに溶け込む、SHIZUKAさんのファッションと、映像の作りに感心しています。😙
いつもご視聴ありがとうございます😊
The consistency of this show dropping every Sunday 🏆 amazing

lol Everything looks so yum! I shouldn't have watched this while fasting.
Thanks for taking us along!
You brave, brave soul. Keep being awesome!!!
Thanks Shizuka for being so adventurous for science and for the channel 😂 I don't think I will ever try the most spicy level alone.
I really liked that plate with the different curries. It would be great to be able to taste a bunch of different curries, instead of only 1, during a meal.
That was such a good one!
❤❤❤ what an absolutely amazing episode. Great work team Shizuka. Would love to try all of them. Only Shizuka san can look sublime while eating curry.
For real! She is a pro!

It wasn’t easy 🤣
you're just a weakling that can't even eat certain foods based on the weather 😂
oh YAY MAGIC SPICE is easily one of my favorite restraunts ever. Every trip to Japan I MUST visit there and enjoy. Absolutely one of the best soup currys ever

Awesomeness! Thanks for sharing your experience with Japanese curry!
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching!
Shizuka, distorted by the spiciness, is so cute🩷
You're a real trooper for taking on the spice. You took it like a real champ. My hats are off to you. Job well done, Shizuka!
She did so great!
A Dream is that Shizuka shows me Japan
We get that!
Oh man.. I would totally die! Ganbatte Shizuka!
It was a tough day 😂
The deer steak looks super interesting!
It was yummyyyy!
you should drink a glass of cold milk mixed with honey after any chilly heavy meal. it will cool down the stomach

I only just found your channel. Thanks to youtube algorythm. I loved all of your videos with Sonny. I will probably watch every video 😃
I will definitely go for the highest spicy food even higher than the last food Shizuka ate and the crews. Also I would love Japan By Food to come to my country to try all the spicy foods 😅 (don't worry, we have non spicy foods too)
Nice challenge! Even the spiciest one was enjoyable and tasty! We are sure you’d love it🎉
those curries look unique! amazing ep
So good! Thanks a lot for watching🥰

Thank you Shizuka and the team for a great video on curry. It is definitely for science 😋
Factsss! 😃
Awesome, I love curry
We do too!
After watching this channel for a year, it is confirmed Japanese are obsessed with soup, I love soup, BTW I loved this episode and was surprised not to see a single Indian? Are there like communities for different groups in Japan?
We wanted to focus on Japanese curry fusions in this video, however, there are many amazing Indian curry places all over Tokyo!
What a trooper! Also, it's great to see this channel grow. I remember when it was below 30k subs, now it's over 120k.
Shizukaaaaaaa
Such champs! Shizuka & team JBF!!
Honestly, out of everything - I want the banana lassi the most ^^
"Pregnancy food baby-level"
*Camera shows a slight bump*
😂 Shizuka is just built different
“Hi” looks yummy”👍😋😋😛👋👍👍🙏👍👍👍💖👍👍
"...and I'm growing a moustache." 🤣 I can do a decent level of spice but it's not a fun time. That first curry sampler had great presentation, though! I'd love to try that. So when are we gonna see Shizuka on Hot Ones?
Shizuka’s spice tolerance was actually super high! She ate the third one like a champ!
You guys really braved the hot stuff! There is a lot that I am willing to try, but not that!!!
Maybe eating them all in one day was a bit too much, but if you try them separately then it is an enjoyable time! 😁
I love spicy food but there’s a point where there’s no flavor and just pain. But with that being said I would love to try those, they looked delicious. 🌶️
You should give them a try! They were all very enjoyable 😊

Woooow! Thanks so much. We are so glad to hear that!
Shizuka-the best always!!! ❤
This girl is amazing😊
Dude is the originator of the iron chef concept because he liked Curry. What a Legend.
A real champ!
@@JapanbyFood this video certainly opened my eyes to just how wide the variety is in Japanese curries is thats for sure!

Another great informative video by a sweet host; thank you for your post(s)🙃
Thanks for watching! It is our pleasure!
Tomato is the best curry you can get in Tokyo. This bring based on tabelog and eating there every time I travel there

Another great video by Japan by food, of course with my love Shizuka-chan❤
Great timing!
One more bite after being full.... Shizuka is the champ.
She fights until the end!
You are a beast!! You can handle your spice! Love your videos.
Had some Indian curry for lunch today but only med spicy. Props to Shizuka for going all out.
That sounds delicious ❤
That all looks very delicious! I have a pretty good heat tolerance and I like it when my curry hurts a little, so I think I'd give the spiciest one a try.
Then you might actually enjoy the last one! It hurt but it was still enjoyable 😊
Nobody talk about how the spicy chart man goes from white to more and more brown and gaining a mustache 😏
Shimokitazawa a place to remember 👌👌👌🙏
It is! Our fav!
@6:26 that was a nice Japanese mannered person!!!! 😂👌🏻
Nice vid I been twice to shimokitazawa but wow I’m not into that spicy!!!! 🥵

@14:00 #MagicSpice Aumair Curry took down the #JapanbyFood team (LOL)
Kyuyam-tei Shimokita-sou curries were very interesting in terms of consistency . I'm used to seeing curry in a gravy that borders between sauce and soup .

It diiiid!
Kyuan-tei was sooo good and we can’t wait to try again!
This girl is way too nice, cause @6:27 when that person literally walked in front of their shot, I wouldve had to say something to that rude old person.
It happens:P
Food baby huh?
Might need an epidural for the delivery. 😂
Japanese spice levels tend to be mild so I get it.
Yeah, it definitely wasn’t as spicy as we expected but the final one did meet the requirements
I Love this episode. Good job trying the spiciest curry. Would you eat a curry made with Carolina reaper peppers?
Shizuka is up for any challenge!
Try Special 3 at the Curry House in Misawa. Fireball!
We shall!
❤️❤️❤️
I miss Cocos Curry in Okinawa
For science! Will definitely try beyond spicy
Hope you like it!
I would try the level 7 curry, sounds like it still has a great flavor!
Wow... the wall is sneaking up. Maybe got 2yrs left on the outside.
Japanese people are known to be mindful of other people, but there's always that one guy (6:25)
Curry are very good
Yes, very true!🎉

That curry looks amazing. Definitely level 7 and higher. You only live once.
Yolo!
Awesome video! curry looks good, bring on the spicy one!!!
Uuuuh! Somebody like a challenge!

I'd go level 7.. why? It'll probably be the only time I visit & I like spice.
Go for it!
i love spicy food. it just that now im older i cant take it anymore or i get severe stomach cramps
It happens! Balance is the key!:)
I went to Magic Spice in April.🥵
Super, very interested in curry 🍛!!
Hope you get to try these places!
I just finished dinner which coincidentally was the leftover Japanese curry I previously made and I still want to try all of these.
Wow! What a nice coincidence 😮😊
@@JapanbyFood Absolutely love your content. Thank you for being awesome!
Yummy 🍚 😋
It was!❤
I'd be interested to see what someone from India thought of the heat level of those dishes.
Now I want a banana marg.
