The way they compare the sounds of bones cracking to an ice glacier breaking apart, makes this one of the most brutal and terrifying moments I've seen in One Piece.
The amount of pain Black Maria was feeling in that moment ALMOST made me feel bad for her. She deserved every bit of that Glacier splitting demon clutch.
Its anime and one piece. I seriously doubt that black maria will get crippled after that, so yeah its just a super painful defeat but she most likely will heal from that.

Yeah Robin's go to move is to break peoples backs or necks. She does not play. Luffy, zoro, sanji, or jimbe might hurt you, Robin is going to paralyze you for life.
I described it to a friend once when they asked me something about that and replied with this: Most of the straw hats get fights at some point during each arc, but Robin doesn't have opponents, she gets victims.

It’s moments like this that remind me that despite being nice and caring towards her friends, Robin has always been one of the most brutal fighters out of the Strawhats

I honestly don't think that that move would have defeated her, I think it would have did a lot of damage, but it wouldn't have defeated her. But that's just my personal opinion.
Black Maria: Beat up a defenseless prisoner. Used a living weapon. Restrained and beat Robin while taunting her. Used Robin's past in Ohara to torment her. Put her own base in danger just to get an advantage. Planned to torture her and use her knowledge before killing her. Yeah, the last person who tried these ended just as well as her, she should have known better.

Teaching Robin Fish Man Karate and the Dragon Claw was so good and excellent writing by Oda. It showed a realistic power up in the show and not just a random one. It showed one of the ways that she got stronger during the time skip which we haven't seen yet, and shows great character development, showing how far Robin is willing to go to protect her crew and continue living.

And I'm sure Black Maria got a nasty surprise finding out the diverse attitudes the SHs have. Sanji may not be willing to hurt a woman like her, but Robin is not so merciful.
I wouldn't necessarily call crying for help because he refuses to realize his feet are rated E for everyone being tortured. God I can't wait until Sanji is forced to have to fight a woman with no Nami and Robin to bail him out.

If you think about it, this is one cruelest wins in one piece ever. Your head is and left arm is pinned to the ground, your right arm is twisted and about to break. You are one of the strongest members of a yonko, so obviously you are confident of your power. However, not only are you restricted by a literal demon who you thought was easy prey, you hear her scream, followed by bending tension of your back. Each passing second, you can feel your muscles rupture, trying to hold your back together and you know your end is coming. Ligaments and tendons follow before the weight is too much and you snap apart. Truly gruesome and freaking awesomely animated.

I loved how Black Maria screamed. She looked like a fly being wrapped by Robin hands. Also Robin Demon Fleur kind of give me Devilman Crybaby style art. Either way amazing!
Robin must be the most brutal one-piece character ever. She rarely fights, but when she does, she usually simply cracks her opponents neck or back. Also probs to her and Maria's VA for screaming like that.
I don't see what people are complaining about. At least when she gets involved you know she's going to do fantastic. She could be Usopp who is pretty much getting worse each passing arc.

Man does this fight do Robin justice considering how she was sidelined on 2 arcs in a row being dressrosa and wholecake. She deserved a fight like this highlighting her enhanced abilities and new tricks she learned with the revolutionary army.

This episode was just one giant chef's kiss. The animation, the pacing, the finale, just pure amazing. Definitely one of the more brutal KOs we've seen on the show too.
so freaking amazing, powerful and awesome!! was waiting for it to be finally animated and here we have it!! everyone working on animating this fight just did such a freaking good job!! it's one of my two favourite robin moments and she's beast and i loved how we could finally see it with her literally becoming the thing she has always been called: a demon!! in order to protect her loved ones aka her newfound family the straw hats and with that of course also her dream. I LOVE IT! also the scream??! robins voice actress has done an even more amazing job then she already does always. like have we ever seen robin scream? no and that's why this was so satisfying and fitting and how she literally made some full on wrestle move to then going down with one of the most brutal finishs we have seen in one piece! and the perfect directing of seeing how whilst she was breaking marias spine, we simultaneously see how the ice breaks the way we can imagine the spine breaking! well done! man i'm so happy that oda made this character arc happen. also just saying i love the fighting duo that is robin and brook, he really had some good moments, but also especially supported her very well in the fight and that's awesome! plus they just are a duo that regarding their past can relate to each other very well (no one of the other straw hats could do that this well)

This seen was way more dark then expected. I seen a kid in high school get his back snapped in a fight. It was as horrific and this really brought back that dark day.
And we thought we had seen some harsh ways to finis somebody. Then Robin, snapping all her limbs and back at once while she was still concious. Never thought one of the most brutal ways somebody would be defeated in one piece could be performed by Robin.

These past episodes, especially this one, have been my favourite episodes of one piece so far. Robin was unlike her usual calm self and I loved it. Her demonic transformation, the way she screamed and made maria's bones crack, incredible. She can truly be a devil.
No. The transformation itself was epic. Jinbe vs who's who was pretty good too. There are like 2 good episodes out of every ten episodes. The recaps, flashbacks and pacing in general has been more unbearable than ever before. One piece should come out every 2 weeks instead of weekly so each episode could cover more and drop the nonsense
Dang, that visual effect make it look like Robin did killed Black Maria, but we do know that she pretty much survived but severely injured since Spandam did survived and had to be hospitalized before Time Skip happened.

I loved how Black Maria screamed. She looked like a fly being wrapped by Robin hands. Also Robin Demon Fleur kind of give me Devilman Crybaby style art. Either way amazing!

Man does this fight do Robin justice considering how she was sidelined on 2 arcs in a row being dressrosa and wholecake. She deserved a fight like this highlighting her enhanced abilities and new tricks she learned with the revolutionary army.
You can feel the power of the anime, the animators, the writer, everyone in this team makes you feel the strenght and feelings that have the characters

so freaking amazing, powerful and awesome!! was waiting for it to be finally animated and here we have it!! everyone working on animating this fight just did such a freaking good job!! it's one of my two favourite robin moments and she's beast and i loved how we could finally see it with her literally becoming the thing she has always been called: a demon!! in order to protect her loved ones aka her newfound family the straw hats and with that of course also her dream.
I LOVE IT! also the scream??! robins voice actress has done an even more amazing job then she already does always. like have we ever seen robin scream? no and that's why this was so satisfying and fitting and how she literally made some full on wrestle move to then going down with one of the most brutal finishs we have seen in one piece! and the perfect directing of seeing how whilst she was breaking marias spine, we simultaneously see how the ice breaks the way we can imagine the spine breaking! well done! man i'm so happy that oda made this character arc happen.
also just saying i love the fighting duo that is robin and brook, he really had some good moments, but also especially supported her very well in the fight and that's awesome! plus they just are a duo that regarding their past can relate to each other very well (no one of the other straw hats could do that this well)

This seen was way more dark then expected. I seen a kid in high school get his back snapped in a fight. It was as horrific and this really brought back that dark day.

These past episodes, especially this one, have been my favourite episodes of one piece so far. Robin was unlike her usual calm self and I loved it. Her demonic transformation, the way she screamed and made maria's bones crack, incredible. She can truly be a devil.
No. The transformation itself was epic. Jinbe vs who's who was pretty good too. There are like 2 good episodes out of every ten episodes. The recaps, flashbacks and pacing in general has been more unbearable than ever before. One piece should come out every 2 weeks instead of weekly so each episode could cover more and drop the nonsense

Dang, that visual effect make it look like Robin did killed Black Maria, but we do know that she pretty much survived but severely injured since Spandam did survived and had to be hospitalized before Time Skip happened.
