Man stop it close shots been nerfed it wasn't a close shot glitch it was a midrange glitch. Post fades go off of MIDRANGE it was just O.P from close range. Hooks don't work close shots are nerfed to the ground!

There are so many odd animations, odd player to player contacts, and weird glitches. RNG elements on steals, shooting, and loose balls. And I don't even know what we can do to fix it atp. I barely play the game these days
I just don't understand how 2k24 is miles ahead of 2k25 and everyone hated 2k24 lmao. Everyone hated 2k21, 2k22, and 2k23, but at least if you were a shooter, you could shoot, slashers could dunk, defenders could play defense, and centers could score in the paint. I primarily play big, and I've averaged 20ppg-20rpg-5bpg on the rec for the past 3 years while shooting 55-60%+ from the field and three. Now I can't shoot, I miss open layups and dunks, pgs can stop me from going up in the paint, and dudes are hitting very late "light pressure" layups on me even though I have a 7'3" with max wingspan, like I've had for the past 3 years. So have I somehow gotten worse at playing 2k since 2k25 came out, or is the game just garbage? 2k still hasn't fixed rebound bump steals, players grabbing offensive rebounds immediately after missing shots, blocked shots going back into someone's hands while it puts you out of position, and laying the ball up behind the backboard or under the rim. I had to get off of 2k last night because I just can't even play the game anymore. It's like you're holding a controller, but 2k is making decisions for you, and it doesn't matter how good you are at the game. People will find a way to blame you for 2ks issues.

I've been having more fun at COD and im super trash, been enjoying zombies, but when i play warzone w the boys im trash NGL never was a big COD players but now all my guns are gone all my skins and everybody is out there w tricked out guns and galaxy skins already..but I gotta a few homeboys who are really good they play it nonstop while ill take breaks for months. But in the end we all just having fun cracking jokes and laughing because gaming is how we all stay connected and catch up. I met so many cool people from 2k24 into the beginning of 2k25 and some of day 1s who play we have a bit of fun but once the honeyphase wore of nobody plays.. that's what kills a community to me. (wth bump steals are OP, so if i dribble into a defenders kneecap i lose the ball? this game sucks, type ish) anyways they program the offensive players to always react faster to loose balls (and rebounds) compared to defenders. which actually is the opposite irl, but they do it to mitigate complaining from the low skilled casuals. bc if a bot gets ripped from running into a defender, we all know he won’t complain too much UNLESS the defender gets the ball and they get a TO. alot of these problems that we continue to see are on purpose. just my thoughts tho.

Equal blame falls on both the 2K community and the developers. One major issue, as you mentioned early in the video, is the divide within the community about how the game should be played. This division alone creates a recipe for disaster. Everyone has valid preferences, but that division leads to chaos. Let’s break it down with a hypothetical example: Shooting For example: Lets say • Community A wants shooting based on player ratings. • Community B thinks perfect timing should guarantee a make. • Community C just wants to shoot like Steph Curry. • Community D says shooting is too hard. • Community E wants a mix of these approaches. Any 2 of the pervious methods I mentioned (A-D) Who is right? Who is wrong? The answer has to be all of them are right and none of them are wrong. They are just different perspectives. The problem isn’t their opinions-it’s the toxic cycle of one group calling another “trash,” “unskilled, “try-hards no life, etc..” for playing differently and being at different skill levels. On the devs’ side, my biggest issue is their lack of consistency and transparency. They don’t “Stick to there Guns” with 2K at launch. Within months it’s completely different game and experience. (this happens almost every year 23’,24’,and 25’ for sure). Why put all the effort into making changes in the game if it’s just going to revert back to a familiar 2K game we have played ? Maybe the meta changes year to year but it’s the same complaints every year the people have. They make changes, but instead of letting players adjust, they patch and tweak endlessly, leaving us with a “consistently inconsistent” product. The community resist any kind of changes to the game of 2K and want a familiar product. When get what they ask for complain about that and blame everyone but themselves. By the time the game plays “okay” or “pretty decent”, it’s the end of the cycle, and the next 2K is around the corner. Why not have a central hub for updates or tips. Why not make detailed videos for all major changes? If the community and is complain about something in the game why not have the dev show videos on how to mitigate the issue? Example: • If steals are a problem, show us properly to protect the ball. • Struggling to shoot? Release a full breakdown in live games of shooting mechanics. Instead, they tweak the game, and we get ridiculous outcomes (e.g., dribblers going through defenders and adjusting shooting difficulty jump shot released all year). The user isn’t getting any better at the game, they are just being compensated for the bad decisions and lack of knowledge on the game. Better communication-detailed patch notes, guides, or gameplay breakdowns-would help the community understand and improve. Until both sides (community + devs) work together, the cycle of complaints and half-measures will just keep repeating.

I believe we should start a #FIXNBA2K25 hashtag. Back in 2K20, when the community united with a similar effort, the developers quickly addressed the issues. Right now, it feels like the community has grown too accepting of mediocrity. The game has become repetitive, the RNG is excessive, and basic mechanics like passing are unreliable-too often resulting in the ball bouncing off players’ backs, arms, or legs, even when they’re wide open. It’s time for change. Older versions of 2K had better latency than what we experience now. Shooting in this game isn’t difficult-it’s just frustratingly inconsistent. When people claim it’s a skill issue, they overlook the many factors that cause missed shots due to how the game is designed. Even with Legend Dimer, I’ve seen players time their jump shots perfectly, only for the game to penalize them. Meanwhile, the opposing team can spam fading threes and make slightly early shots with ease. It’s a frustrating imbalance that needs to be addressed. I blame 2K for trying to do too much and making the game appeal to everyone. Growing up, games were about improving your skills and having fun. Now, at 24, it feels like gaming has shifted to people spamming exploits and doing whatever it takes to gain an advantage-none of which makes them truly better players. 2K offers different modes for everyone, but when playing against someone, it often feels like the game holds their hand to give them an advantage, even if they lack skill or basketball IQ. This takes away from the competitive and rewarding experience the game should provide. There are some good things they added this year but the bad over weigh the good in this game. I’ve started to notice a decline in both WWE games and NBA 2K-the games I grew up enjoying. Unfortunately, both seem to be getting worse each year, held together by nothing more than bubble gum and scotch tape. It’s disappointing that 2K asks for our input on what to add to the game, only to ignore those ideas entirely. In reality, it feels like a performative move to make it seem like they’re making an effort, when they’re not. Sooner or later, the community needs to wake up before it’s too late-because the signs are already there.
This franchise has essentially become an infinite money glitch for this greedy ass company. They've gotten by with minimal effort for many years. The game should've been free to play a long time ago with the egregious amount of micro transactions and pay to win. 2k players are in bubble and have been forced to deal with these practices due to a monopoly. This kinda shit doesn't fly in a lot of other communities.
I’ve been playing 2k since 2011 but can honestly say 2k has been more focused on microstransactions and pro players and the community still spends money every year. My team is way worse but I honestly only play rec now and it’s just going to be a cycle until we affect their pockets.

This game needs to be free to play period. That’s the route they’ve been in for the longest anyway. At least then they’d be forced to fix a lot of issues and the game can actually grow and improve. Because 25 is an unacceptable product 🙌 down.
Hey man just found your channel. I make content for NHL and the games been terrible this year so i bought 2k25 for the first time since 2k17. I played a ton of 2k17 myplayer so i was excited to play this year for the first time in a while. First thing i noticed was the animations seemed SO RNG. Theres time wen someone goes for a good layup, and it misses. then times where like someone takes a terrible layup that shouldnt go in, but they get like a glitchy animation where they score. Seems very RNG

I may have more comments while watching this video, but the first one is that yes, a lot of the issue is the community. I really like Saint Hardaway’s channel. He plays the game a few hours a week and shares what he has to go through where so many members of the community ruin your gaming experience. The community also put to shame those that actually developed their players in MyCareer by calling them “broke”, which promoted the rise of the predatory VC practices. Any publicly traded company has to pretty much by law do what gives them the most profit. Great video though, hopefully as always you can see that I am trying to be genuine.

But i do expect that it can do what the devs say it is supposed to do. Things that they say work just dont. The community is just as hypocritical. People want things to be real until it is too real. I complain about those you load up with or against in random rec. in my 5 years of 2K, I have not gotten a single PS message to say good game after a match. I have gotten so many passive aggressive emojis. I don’t care though if someone insults me but I do care if I load up in the rec with them that they start making us lose on purpose or just going up with terrible stuff. As I mentioned, Saint Hardaway documents the community so well. Oh and by the way, today in MyCareer, I had a game tying buzzer beater go in when my hand animated through the ball but didn’t change its trajectory. I just don't understand how 2k24 is miles ahead of 2k25 and everyone hated 2k24 lmao. Everyone hated 2k21, 2k22, and 2k23, but at least if you were a shooter, you could shoot, slashers could dunk, defenders could play defense, and centers could score in the paint. I primarily play big, and I've averaged 20ppg-20rpg-5bpg on the rec for the past 3 years while shooting 55-60%+ from the field and three. Now I can't shoot, I miss open layups and dunks, pgs can stop me from going up in the paint, and dudes are hitting very late "light pressure" layups on me even though I have a 7'3" with max wingspan, like I've had for the past 3 years. So have I somehow gotten worse at playing 2k since 2k25 came out, or is the game just garbage? 2k still hasn't fixed rebound bump steals, players grabbing offensive rebounds immediately after missing shots, blocked shots going back into someone's hands while it puts you out of position, and laying the ball up behind the backboard or under the rim. I had to get off of 2k last night because I just can't even play the game anymore. It's like you're holding a controller, but 2k is making decisions for you, and it doesn't matter how good you are at the game. People will find a way to blame you for 2ks issues.

Equal blame falls on both the 2K community and the developers. One major issue, as you mentioned early in the video, is the divide within the community about how the game should be played. This division alone creates a recipe for disaster. Everyone has valid preferences, but that division leads to chaos.
Let’s break it down with a hypothetical example: Shooting
For example: Lets say
• Community A wants shooting based on player ratings.
• Community B thinks perfect timing should guarantee a make.
• Community C just wants to shoot like Steph Curry.
• Community D says shooting is too hard.
• Community E wants a mix of these approaches. Any 2 of the pervious methods I mentioned (A-D)
Who is right? Who is wrong? The answer has to be all of them are right and none of them are wrong. They are just different perspectives.
The problem isn’t their opinions-it’s the toxic cycle of one group calling another “trash,” “unskilled, “try-hards no life, etc..” for playing differently
and being at different skill levels.
On the devs’ side, my biggest issue is their lack of consistency and transparency. They don’t “Stick to there Guns” with 2K at launch. Within months it’s completely different game and experience. (this happens almost every year 23’,24’,and 25’ for sure). Why put all the effort into making changes in the game if it’s just going to revert back to a familiar 2K game we have played ? Maybe the meta changes year to year but it’s the same complaints every year the people have. They make changes, but instead of letting players adjust, they patch and tweak endlessly, leaving us with a “consistently inconsistent” product. The community resist any kind of changes to the game of 2K and want a familiar product. When get what they ask for complain about that and blame everyone but themselves.
By the time the game plays “okay” or “pretty decent”, it’s the end of the cycle, and the next 2K is around the corner.
Why not have a central hub for updates or tips. Why not make detailed videos for all major changes? If the community and is complain about something in the game why not have the dev show videos on how to mitigate the issue?
Example:
• If steals are a problem, show us properly to protect the ball.
• Struggling to shoot? Release a full breakdown in live games of shooting mechanics.
Instead, they tweak the game, and we get ridiculous outcomes (e.g., dribblers going through defenders and adjusting shooting difficulty jump shot released all year). The user isn’t getting any better at the game, they are just being compensated for the bad decisions and lack of knowledge on the game.
Better communication-detailed patch notes, guides, or gameplay breakdowns-would help the community understand and improve.
Until both sides (community + devs) work together, the cycle of complaints and half-measures will just keep repeating.

I believe we should start a #FIXNBA2K25 hashtag. Back in 2K20, when the community united with a similar effort, the developers quickly addressed the issues.
Right now, it feels like the community has grown too accepting of mediocrity. The game has become repetitive, the RNG is excessive, and basic mechanics like passing are unreliable-too often resulting in the ball bouncing off players’ backs, arms, or legs, even when they’re wide open. It’s time for change.
Older versions of 2K had better latency than what we experience now. Shooting in this game isn’t difficult-it’s just frustratingly inconsistent. When people claim it’s a skill issue, they overlook the many factors that cause missed shots due to how the game is designed.
Even with Legend Dimer, I’ve seen players time their jump shots perfectly, only for the game to penalize them. Meanwhile, the opposing team can spam fading threes and make slightly early shots with ease. It’s a frustrating imbalance that needs to be addressed.
I blame 2K for trying to do too much and making the game appeal to everyone. Growing up, games were about improving your skills and having fun. Now, at 24, it feels like gaming has shifted to people spamming exploits and doing whatever it takes to gain an advantage-none of which makes them truly better players.
2K offers different modes for everyone, but when playing against someone, it often feels like the game holds their hand to give them an advantage, even if they lack skill or basketball IQ. This takes away from the competitive and rewarding experience the game should provide.
There are some good things they added this year but the bad over weigh the good in this game.
I’ve started to notice a decline in both WWE games and NBA 2K-the games I grew up enjoying. Unfortunately, both seem to be getting worse each year, held together by nothing more than bubble gum and scotch tape.
It’s disappointing that 2K asks for our input on what to add to the game, only to ignore those ideas entirely. In reality, it feels like a performative move to make it seem like they’re making an effort, when they’re not.
Sooner or later, the community needs to wake up before it’s too late-because the signs are already there.

I may have more comments while watching this video, but the first one is that yes, a lot of the issue is the community. I really like Saint Hardaway’s channel. He plays the game a few hours a week and shares what he has to go through where so many members of the community ruin your gaming experience. The community also put to shame those that actually developed their players in MyCareer by calling them “broke”, which promoted the rise of the predatory VC practices. Any publicly traded company has to pretty much by law do what gives them the most profit. Great video though, hopefully as always you can see that I am trying to be genuine.

I watched in full now and I hope that when I complain about the community that you don’t assume I’m complaining about content creators. I really appreciate your content though I am a sim bro. I complain about those you load up with or against in random rec. in my 5 years of 2K, I have not gotten a single PS message to say good game after a match. I have gotten so many passive aggressive emojis. I don’t care though if someone insults me but I do care if I load up in the rec with them that they start making us lose on purpose or just going up with terrible stuff. As I mentioned, Saint Hardaway documents the community so well. Oh and by the way, today in MyCareer, I had a game tying buzzer beater go in when my hand animated through the ball but didn’t change its trajectory.
