4:03 for people not paying attention. Remember. Beretta owns Benelli. Benelli owns Stoeger. Stoeger makes parts for Benelli. So this shotgun has good lineage. Maybe they’ll make a Benelli M4 type shotgun one day.
I think someone like myself dipping their toes into the semi-auto tactical shotgun world this sounds like the perfect gun to get, without going balls deep in a M4 or a 1301
I had a Stoeger 2000 that I used to shoot a lot of trap. Walnut stock. Had the buttstock loosening problem over and over. I tried a split lock and flat washer under the bolt head. No joy. Finally found the root cause. There was a steel threaded insert that screwed into the back of the receiver. The stock bolt screws into the insert. The problem was the insert was backing out of the receiver. Locktited the insert to the receiver and problem solved. Don't know if the 3000 has the same design, but you might check.
Using the MOA Precision adapter, I installed the MAGPUL SGA stock which helps w/recoil. The M2 extractor cured issues w/some ammo while the spring kit made it easier pulling.
Agreed, it's the best bang for the buck. I've got about 1,000 rounds through mine now. My advice: Install limb saver butt pad, esp. if you plan on a lot of full power loads. Replace the extractor & spring with Benelli or MOA Precision parts. The factory extractor has soft & poorly machined steel & will wear down after 400-500 rounds, & the spring is weak. If you will only use 2 3/4" ammo, replace the factory recoil spring with the MOA Precision reduced power spring (save factory spring for 3" shooting). *Don't add extra weight & shoulder rifle lightly for optimal reliability with lighter loads. $90 of parts, less than you'll spend breaking the gun in, and you have a budget-Benelli.
We really have to agree, 600 shells later and its running like new. We just picked up the MAC 1014 (Benelli M4 clone) hope to review it in the next month or so.
Along with the break-in period, loosen up on your hold when you shoot low brass bird shot. The pulled in death grip you normally use when shooting buck or slugs causes a malfunction with lighter loads... something to do with the inertia driven system. If you just place it to your shoulder and ease up on the grip a little, the gun will recoil naturally and will function properly!
Ken, that is awesome feedback. I thought is was the opposite. I kept thinking to myself "stop holding it like a girl get a better grip" next time I take it out, I promise to loosen up a bit with low brass and see how it goes. Thanks again for the feedback and for watching our videos.
It IS a skeet gun. After break in. Low brass, 3 dram, 1-1\4 oz #8 or 9 shot. Runs fine. Have maybe 500 rounds thru the M3000 and now it runs 1oz shot. Replaced my SPAS 12 that I sold (5,000 rounds from new in th '80's) for $5,000. Almost identical side view profiles.

I bought a another stoeger MK3 18" barrel so I made tactical back tactical added beretta tube and barrel brace to add light. My MK3 now my trap/Skeet it has little bugs I got it used I think last owner did 3 gun with it. Sometimes fire. I'll buy some benelli parts try fix it.
I bought an m3k 3 years ago and immediately swapped out the extractor and put lightened trigger and hammer springs. Didn’t always cycle target loads for the first few hundred rounds which is what I mostly shot out of it shooting trap. My stock did loosen up once but some loctite and torque fixed that problem. The screw that holds the bolt release only has like 3 full threads holding it on and mine eventually stripped out. Go to the hardware store and grab a new one and use red loctite on that sucker. Overall I love the gun tho

@@krobros no doubt, I don’t remember the exact cost but the springs were incredibly cheap and super easy to install with a noticeable difference. I love the trigger on that gun. Hope it works out for you as well
I own that same shotgun and it has run great. Yes, it shokes with low brass shells if you hold the shotgun tight to your shoulder. High brass has been flawless. Regarding to the stock bolt, from factory it didn't came loose, but I changed the stock with the youth factory stock and it came loose. I blue locktight the bolt and it has not moved since.

Do you really find it pleasant to shoot? I happen to think it kicks like a mule, more than any other shotgun I own in fact. I sure do love it though and it is quite reliable. Thank you for watching our video and leaving a comment.
The biggest problem that will create the biggest problem in M3000 rifles is the shackle pin that holds the mechanism shaft. It is made of a soft material and is a punched process. Hi, I've ordered this after seeing your video. I do have a question though. I don't see a barrel clamp and wandered how you mounted the light? I enjoyed this video and look forward to receiving mine.
The M3000 uses a single tube without extensions so no clamp is needed. I installed a small MLOK 1913 rail directly to the forearm and used that to attach a white light.
First time to the range while i was breaking my Stoeger in, the butt stock definitely came loose. Kept shooting it to the point that I could freely rotate the stock 360 degrees. I expected it to affect the inertia system at that point, but I didn't have any issues shooting it even with the stock that loose.
@@krobros I just tightened it back down with an extended socket, just like you guys said. I haven't had any issues with it as of late. I think it just wasn't tightened all the way down from the factory

The reason why does not run low brass is because their not strong enough it's the same in all semi auto shotguns like the stoeger if you're going to use low brass go the p3000 or the m3000 sp

I have a Black Aces Tactical semi-auto 12 gauge that I don't really trust as a self defense shotgun. Got it as a gift! In the roughly $500 retail range, what would you consider to be the "best" 😮 shotgun for reliability, and if you had to figure in comfort as well (this one was not all that comfortable to shoot) what would you guys suggest? Wife is only 5 feet tall, and comfort, and being able to get follow-up shots is important. Was looking at a Mossberg 590, but was wondering if an auto would be better for her small stature. Had considered the 590 along with a mini-shell adapter.
@@TexasCorgiGun All be damned, could you please send me a link to that info? Thanks so much for the update and we apologize for suggesting you were wrong. Thanks for the super valuable info Corgi!
@krobros I know it's too bad because it looks like a good affordable option. I don't have a link. If you send me your email, I can forward you the email they sent me with the information, or you could reach out to them directly . I suspected it was discontinued because I went to eurooptics website, and it's listed as discontinued, so I reached out to Stoeger and got the info from them. Blessings.
Low or high brass has nothing to do with velocity. The load, namely the gun powder amount, does. The difference between brass height was an old way to distinguish between target and field loads. Also, for less felt recoil and more control, shoot with the push and pull technique. If you shoot a bow, be it recurve, longbow, or compound, then you'll know what I mean. Everyone makes good and bad shotguns. Including American manufacturers. Not just Turkey.
We hear you brother, I was referring more to the velocity with which the spent shell ejects from the chamber. The low brass can lack the "velocity" to properly eject the shell and allow the next shell to chamber. You're right, it's the wrong vernacular to explain the process. The push/pull method is sound, this particular scatter gun really hits hard. Inertia driven shotguns just kick like mules.
I have an M3K. You're right, it kicks a bit and the butt stock loosened up once but not since I switched the butt stock out to a shorter length of pull. BUT... I've shot about 1200 rounds thru it. Mostly cheap Walmart Redbox Federal #8 but I've also shot a couple hundred rounds of black aces 00 and 50 rounds of Fiocchi 00 and some slugs. It eats everything without complaint except a couple hiccups cycling with the fiocchi 00. It is less powerful than the Black Aces and it didn't seem to care for that which is strange since fiocchi advertises its as powerful as the federal cheapo Walmart #8 and that's been flawless.
Hey Willy, thanks for taking a minute to tell us how your M3K runs. It's good to know I didn't get a lemon or anything like that. Still, I haven't had near as good luck running Federal #8. Then again, I don't have near as many shells through mine as you do yours. The black aces do run perfectly well for me too. Thanks again for watching.
So, this one is already kind of gone, I don't see it anymore on the gun sites. Fear not, I have a new (and even better Turk knock off) go check out the MAC 1014 Benelli M4 knock off, I love this thing. We just filmed a review on it and it will be out very soon.

My m3k has about 300 ends through it. Buck/slug. And one box of 25 low brass birdshot ( wallyworld trash). 0 issues with reliability. My stock bolt didnt loosen, but I did know about the issue before buying it, so I removed the bolt and put loctite on it.. Tally ho lads
Mine runs low brass after a few hundred shells but it certainly didn't run them 100% out of the box. Incidentally, what is your favorite shotgun lube? Thanks for watching.
The beats the shit outta your shoulder, is most likely a pass for me. Can you push pull on this thing, and it still cycle reliably? I think I'm just gonna suck it up, and a 1301 though.
I hear you, before you go the 1301 route and blow all your money, we really like the new MAC 1014. Great clone, much softer shooting, look into that a bit. Our review will come out on it next month.
@@krobros : Was really looking at the a300UP, but then discovered they're using stoeger manufactured barrels, and the the 1301 tac mod2, is only $400-$500 more for an Italian baretta. The a300 design has been around a long time, so tooling shouldn't have been a big cost, then the stoeger barrel, and it just seems to pricey for a Tennessee/Turkish made gun. I know the 1301's are assembled in Tennessee, to get 922r compliance, but at least the parts are coming from baretta Italy.
I have to admit Joseph, I got it out of the box, lubed it up, and shot it. I really should get all the packing grease off it and re-lube the firearm. Thanks for watching!
It is a very nice gun, but all users make the same comments. You must hold the gun to your shoulder, otherwise it will not cycle. This worries me very much. I'm undecided whether to buy it or not. When I have to defend myself, I may have to shoot without putting it on my shoulder. What will happen then?
Brother, I have to tell you... Some really amazing scatter guns have come out since we released this review. Please watch our review on the MAC1014 it is a superior shotty. Vic, you'll be disappointed to know that we kinda rigged up something ourselves, there's no mount out there for this. Thanks for watching.
I want to know how you rigged it and what products you used !! I’m fine with rigging lol
Good review. Well done
Thanks for taking time to leave a comment. Really appreciate the feedback brother.
When we remove the pin holding the mechanism swivel head shaft of your rifle, can you replace it with the same frequency?
A very smart question, Idk... I hope to do a "one and done". Thanks for watching.
My stock came loose on mine. My m3000 also wil run cheap birdshot as well.
Thanks for taking time to leave a comment. Glad to hear we're not alone.
So, I would say this shotgun is my favorite so far. We'll be reviewing the Panzer m4 next so, keep an eye out for that.
I can't find this shotgun anywhere. it's been discontinued.
It's not discontinued, it's just popular and hard to find some days. Keep at it, you'll find one.
@@krobros Just an FYI, I just got an email back from Stoeger, and this specific model it's in fact been discontinued by the manufacturer.
Blessings.
@@TexasCorgiGun krobroschannel@gmail.com thank you
Low or high brass has nothing to do with velocity.
Damn, I like you guys. 12:20. LOL
Thanks Ivan, we're trying not to take ourselves too seriously.
What light and light mount are you using for the stoeger?
That is a HM2000 (Homemade) lol. Thanks for watching.
What SKU is this shotgun? I’m thinking of getting the 36033FS model (no pistol grip)
So, this one is already kind of gone, I don't see it anymore on the gun sites. Fear not, I have a new (and even better Turk knock off) go check out the MAC 1014 Benelli M4 knock off, I love this thing. We just filmed a review on it and it will be out very soon.
@@krobros I found a shop about 30 minutes from where I live that can order one for me. I’ve been doing some research and that seems like the one I want to get.
@@krobrosI’ve got a MAC1014 coming in on Tuesday. We will see if your recommendation was worth it!
Thanks guys
I have not ran into the stock losing up. Mine runs bird shot just fine . But does kick like a mule lol
Really?! You're the second person to tell me that you ran low brass with no problems. Maybe I'm just holding the weapon like a girl. Thanks for watching Joshua.
@krobros that's the first thing I shot out of it was a box of target loads ran just fine
thanks gents.
Thank you for watching and taking time to leave a comment.
Did not have to break mine in at all. Immediately ran low brass shells without a hiccup
I don't know, maybe I'm holding the weapon like a girl? Thanks for watching!
Grabbing it
Solid purchase, thanks for watching.
after about 225 rounds, my stock worked loose as well.
Thanks for the feedback, glad to hear it wasn't just me. How is yours holding up since the fix?
@@krobros remains to be seen, still have to take it out again.
Still kicks softer than any pump action
You could be right, its the fact that you can get the shells off super fast in a semi-auto and you can loose some balance pretty easily.
I am good with my Mossberg 930, cool video.😅😂
I agree your Mossberg 930 is a superior shotgun. Can't fault you for that. Thanks for watching.
is this good if i’m left handed
I would say, no better or worse than any other right-handed shotgun. Thanks for watching!
Good video. I thought y’all were European before I turned the volume up.
Nope, 5th generation Coloradans, thanks for watching!
@@krobros 10-4. Looking forward to try this shotgun out. And I will return to the channel
You had to clean the the oil from the and if you put brand new oil on it it runs a lot better
The Stoeger is a clone of the Benelli M2 but the MAC is a clone of the M4 and its amazing for the same price. Let us know what you think, we ever compare it briefly to the Stoeger towards the end of the review.
@@krobros I saw your comment 20 min ago then watched video. Now I have MAC1014 on the way. Thanks :)

Delighted to hear it, now get the tube extention pinned at the top of the comments on the video to finish it off.
My M3000 would never run Fiocchi full power buck. My Beretta and Mossberg do. M3000 gone.
Lame, sorry to hear the M3000 didn't live up to your Pepsi challenge. i'M gonna shoot her for a while.
The # of people wanting a "combat" shotgun to run birdshot is wild to me. This gun is mission-specific. Stop being so poor and either buy another gun exclusively for hunting OR buy a Benelli M3 convertible. Seriously.
Jay, we apologize for being so damn poor, we'll try harder, promise! Thanks for watching.
This "rifle"?
Bob, people make mistakes Brother, it's gonna be okay. Thanks for watching
Blue lock tight and then no problems.
Done and Done brother, thanks for watching.
I have the cheaper one . M3000 no ghost sights . Mine eats eats everything low high brass everything.
Did it run low brass right out of the box?
This review gives a comprehensive insight into the shotguns features.
Thank you very much for the kind words brother. Appreciate you watching our review.
Your review makes me appreciate the Stoeger M3000s value even more.
Pat, we always appreciate helping people love their weapons even more.
