*I run the m6 daily, and my floors look awesome🌼 **allabout.wiki/Roborock-Robotic** I wet mop 2 days and dry sweep the rest of the days. When I first got it, I used the included disposable pads. I didn't like them--the dry pad has no depth so if it picks up a chunk of something, like dry cat food, then it pushes it around or drags it around the floor. The wet pad wasn't very absorbent so left streaks and wheel marks.*

I saw the Shark pick up everything in it's path with one pass. The iRobot, however, went over the same spot 3 or 4 times and didn't pick up anything. The end result after you gave up on the Shark and sent the iRobot to do the job, left a really bad mess. If the iRobot thought it was done, it was sadly mistaken. Personally, I wouldn't have tackled some of those pieces with my central vac. I get that it was a stress test, but it wasn't anything you would normally vacuum. Pick up the big stuff that will get stuck and let the vacuum do the rest. That's just normal vacuum use.

I am going to stand up for the shark. If I lived in a pig sty, the bin sensor on the robot might be a problem, but I don’t; maybe you do. The amount of crud you put on the floor is way too much for a realistic test, at least IMHO. You are correct about it taking forever to get a map, mine took 30 cleanings, but, so what? It is still cleaning your place during those runs. And what about the hassle of replacing bags with the Roomba? Address that please. I absolutely will agree the Roomba is a better over-all machine, but is it worth literally, twice the price of the Shark? Me thinks not.

The shark is a amazing robot vacuum. And having the bagless canister is very consumer friendly. Who wants to always go out and buy bags made just for a robot vacuum. On top of that your paying over double for the good one lol makes no sense to anyone.

@@TheUnWorthyOne10 Just returned my Shark LOW IQ Vacuum. It kept losing the wi-fi signal, got lost in closets, never completed the mapping of our house after more than 30 cleanings. I think you are too tough on the Shark IQ. We've had one cleaning our house for 6 months and it's still going strong. We have two Siberian Husky dogs that shed their entire undercoat several times a year. The Shark gets probably 70% of the hair which makes it easy for us to do the rest with a Swifter. The shark doesn't have a sensor to let it know when the bin is full, but it returns to the dock every thirty minutes or so to dump it's load. Sometimes, 30 minutes is too long and the bin gets full before it has a chance to empty. As a result it just chugs along doing nothing really until it's time to dock. Before we bought the Shark, we had to sweep, dust and mop almost every day to keep up with the shedding. This thing is a massive time saver! As far as mapping our house, I agree that it takes many passes to do so. To speed the process, make sure you schedule cleanings during the day when there is a lot of natural light. Open windows, turn on lights and remove obstacles from the floor while the Shark is mapping the house. If you follow these simple steps -which is outlined in the instructions by the way - then it should only take a few passes to successfully map your house.

The Shark IQ will not empty its dust bin based on how quickly the bin fills up with material because there no Dirt Bin full sensor that I can see. Will do a tear down ti verify this. I believe the feature on the App that allows Evacuate and Resume, is a timer based function, does not empty it self based on how full the Bin is 😢. From my full house cleanings the robot only empty and resumes once. Another thing is the Shark doesn’t have a dirt detection, so it won’t concentrate on one area. I agree the Shark is a good robot Cleaner for smaller messes 👍🏻 or as a maintenance cleaner.

I bought mine, let it run 3 times and I had a full map of the main floor of my bungalow (970sq.ft. covered by the vacuum - three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, laundry room, walk-in closet, hallway, kitchen, dining room, living room). I decided to delete the map after moving some furniture and let it re-map the whole floor, which it did in a single vacuum. I have never seen it have any trouble returning to the base. It has only stopped once and reported a problem, and that was when it sucked up a sock under the bed. After pulling the sock out, it continued from where it left off.

Just returned my Shark LOW IQ Vacuum. It kept losing the wi-fi signal, got lost in closets, never completed the mapping of our house after more than 30 cleanings. When it did clean, it would do a pretty good job. Called Shark Customer Service line for help and when describing the problem found them to be argumentative. Their customer support is what got me to just return my vacuum cleaner. I could put up with some cliches that a software upgrade might have fixed but I won't put up with attitude from some $8.00 and hour desk jockey.... Hello Roomba....
