Well done for getting the job! I'm a big theme park fan and I'm going to fright nights on the 22nd October with my merlin pass! Hopefully I get to see you there!
Well done for getting the job. I'm planning on going a few times as a park guest. And it seems Fright Nights could be getting a good line up this year?
Hey, honestly it changed every year, it depends on the date of your audition also as sometimes I may have been late to the list so then there weren’t that many but I think on average probably around 10-15 ☺️
i want to audition for next year but i don’t know how i feel about screaming or whatever in front of other people unless i’m actually in the maze acting. 😂
Honestly after a few warm ups you ease into it and everyone around is doing the same thing so you will never fell out of place aha, just be you and have fun with it!
I went to fright nights for the first time last year and I'm hoping to take some friends this year. It's so exciting to hear about the 20th anniversary but that makes it so much scarier. I can't wait
Hey I’ve just had an audition today and it was super fun and interesting. Very new experience but I was just wondering how long it took you to find out if you’ve got the job or not? Thank you :)
Hey! Yeah it’s fun right😂 And usually it’s within a week or so, sometimes they can get busy with other things so I would say don’t worry if it takes just over a week, but usually a week maybe two weeks is normally the waiting duration ☺️
@@LouiseNorth ah thank you so much and yeah it is great fun! However the day after I sent that comment I got a call from them saying I’ve got the job which was such a surprise but truly amazing! I can’t wait for this experience :)
Hey, search on the Merlin Careers website, they have loads on there for similar jobs and Thorpe Parks application process is through that ☺️ You have to complete a form and send it off and then you will be in touch with an invite if you are successful 😊
@@LouiseNorth Honestly I’d like to see a big rollercoaster that isn’t themed to horror. Literally every big attraction they’ve added for the past 10 years has been themed to horror, starting at saw the ride in 2009 then the swarm in 2012 to Derren Brown’s ghost train in 2016/17, The walking dead the ride 2018 and black mirror labyrinth 2021. It’s one thing if this strategy is working but the attendance has been stagnant for 10 years at around 1.9 million people per year. I think this is due to the fact Thorpe are adding worlds first attractions which are extremely expensive to research and create but the experience isn’t very good even if it is a worlds first. Take for example the swarm, it cost £18 million around $25 million it’s 127ft tall and 775m in length and was the first of its kind. In the same year another park invested in a $28 million into a coaster called Leviathan, only $3 million more in an already tried and tested coaster and it is 306ft tall and 1672m in length. The difference in scale in these two coasters is huge although they were roughly the same price. This is my problem and I think they can do so much more with their money. I honestly want to see a large scale Hybrid coaster (a wood steal mix) these aren’t too expensive around $12-13 million and can be way over 200ft tall with inversions and air time.
@@aaronlewis9577 Wow seems like you have done your research and have a lot of passion for it, you should maybe try emailing higher up and give your views and you never know ☺️
I’m auditioning this year but I live a fair distance from the park so will be moving temporarily if I get the position, due to this it means rehearsals will need to be thought about. Are they usually done in one block or are they scattered?
Hey, it might change this year so I’m not 100% sure but they can be slightly scattered depending on the role you land. I live pretty far from the park to and I do have to say it can be a little bit annoying, you just have to leave a lot of time ahead due to delays and book tickets in advance if possible. Maybe see if someone lives closer you can stay with or rent with if that would be an option for you 😊 Good luck!
It's that time of year again when auditions come up, good luck to anyone auditioning for fright nights this year!

Hey! Is there any GCSE or A level requirements for Scare actor?
Hey, thank you for watching and no as far as I know they are not a requirement and all you really need is to have a passion for acting! 😊
