Hey guys my bad, turns out the iPad Air 2 actually has a laminated display. It was actually the black frame on the screen I meant to point out. Sorry for the confusion!
Can u do video editing? I will get my dad’s old air 2 and I use capcur a lot. I’m currently using my XR and I know Air 2 will be slower. But how well can you edit?

The only problem with mine is that it only has 16 GB. It’s still amazing, great battery life, and performance actually still very smooth on iOS 15 beta. Such an amazing product.
@ Kevin I can play every single game(Including PS4) on the AppStore smoothly with my 2GB ram iPod 7 with dual core 1.64ghz CPU. The iPod is slightly faster than the Air 2 at 1.5ghz but Air 2 has Tri-core CPU with same 2GB ram
I've had this iPad since 2015, and it has been my most used device. I primarily use it to watch youtube videos in bed, and occasionally use it as a secondary screen for school. It has performed extremely well over the years, and it's running iOS 14.5 right now and still is super fast. Sadly, the battery is really bad now. It probably lasts around 3-4 hours of constant use, but is enough for a long youtube session before bed. I have it plugged in on my bed side at night and let it play my youtube sleep playlist. I love this device so much and It'll be a sad day when the battery degrades further and it slows down, but hopefully I'll get a new iPad by then! Btw, good job on the video; I enjoyed the video!
@@sayareebasumallik Yes, i use the app ‘Notability’ to import school pdfs and write/annotate on them. (It’s a paid app, but it works really really great and fast) Unfortunately Apple pencils do not work on this ipad, but you can get some other capacitive stylus pens and they work okay.
Bought my device 2015 and still using it every day watching RUclips and anime and I still get around 8 h of screen on time but I can definitively feel the battery isn’t as strong which is understandable ☺️
Just an update, IPad Air 2 now updated to IOS 15.1 Mine is working great! I am changing my battery as the original can only hold a charge for 30min. For $25.00 it’s worth changing the battery yourself.
The iPad Air 2 bought in 2016 took me away from Toshiba and Microsoft. Bought a 2015 MacBook Pro 15”. Never go back to Microsoft,but the Toshiba Satellite was good. The iPad has been brilliant with one new battery.

I’ve been usung my ipad mini 2 for 7 years now. It was the very best ipad i got. Today ive been now using the new 8th gen and replace ut in another 10 years or so.
I think for the majority of the people it's a great tablet to buy. Music, movies, school. It would be amazing. But for intensive stuff that require lots of processing power.... I guess updating. OS15 is amazing and can sustain for at least 3 years with security updates which I'm sure Apple would still give. Biggest downfall for me would be no apple pencil but I'm sure anyone can buy alternatives on the market, some of which work even better than the apple pencil. So yeah. I think it's an amazing purchase. Even great for kids too!!! I'd buy it!!!
iPad Air 2 has a thinner build and much better display (laminated), and the 5th gen has a better processor, which likely means it’ll last another year on software upfstes

The great thing you can still left it like home music device, by this I have my music podcast app and it stands on living room connection over BT. And this and any iPad can last forever ) which is cool .
I’ve had one since 2016, but it’s finally showing it’s age. One of the volume buttons doesn’t work anymore, the charging port has started having some charging issues and every so often the battery will just drain to nearly zero out of the blue. So it’s finally time to look into an upgrade, and I think I’ve set my sights on the Pro 11 inch
I have had an iPad 5 (very similar iPad but slightly faster cpu) since not far after it released. It is still kicking it! None of the A10 and below devices get iOS 16 though, so I have my 9th gen arriving in a few days. The battery in this 5th gen is stellar still! I share your volume button issue, the volume up button fails to work entirely
bought this ipad air 2 - 128gb version, for media purpose and for online activities (Video Conferencing) Like zoom. The only concern about this ipad air 2 on zoom is I can do Virtual Background before then suddenly they removed the virual background features on this ipad air 2. Why Zoom removed it. I just thought It was a bug, so i waited an updates on zoom apps, then i realize that they permanently removed the features on this A8x processor. Im running IpadOS 5.2 rigth now on this tablet. yeah its capable but apple will limits app developer to support old processor even you are running the latest software.

Gap between the glass and the actual pixel (screen)?!, isn’t iPad Air 2 is the first of laminated screen?!, meaning there is no (air) gap between them. Or maybe your referring to the screen frame?! I think all iPad have them, but it wouldn’t be noticeable on black bezel (like you demonstrated). Great video btw!
Yeah, maybe the screen frame is what I meant to say lol. My air 3 which has a laminated display definitely doesn’t have one, so I assumed that the air 2 was missing it. Thanks for pointing that out though :)
I just look at my 2017 10.5 iPad Pro…you’re right, the frame wasn’t there. I also found the frame in my wife’s 2016 9.7 iPad Pro, I guess they share the same display panel?

Just ordered for 140£ also got Samsung S2 for 65£ which is working well enough for my son. Don't care about camera as I have a Sony SLR camera it is old just like air 2 but it has real lens!

Just got one, I have a iPhone 13 but I still don’t think it lags that far behind for the use case I use it for. And the the display is arguably better

I upgraded from the 2 to the 4 after 5 years, it still works I took great care of it I even have the charger that originally came in the box.
Running iOS 15 in 2022 … but Sound and Volume became so bad over the years, i had to upgrade finally
I bought mine 2 days ago from a pawn shop and I’m happy with it. I paid $149.00 plus taxes.

I’m like what air gap ? Lol I have a iPad 6 and the iPad Air 2 and the iPad 6 has air gap but not the iPad Air 2 .
Still got it now it’s a bit slow and battery isn’t as good as it use to be not to mention I’ve dropped it in the bath and it’s still going

You can buy capacitive styluses on eBay really cheap, and they'll work just fine with no Bluetooth connection

Nah it’ll be well and truly unsupported in the next 5 years, this tablet isn’t a great long term device

Yes it should work for roblox just fine, it might overheat after hours of playing but besides that should be okay
