Ex Aucklander living in Qld here, dream boat would be a kiwi built too, 7.5M Makaira Boat with that Carolina Flare and all the trimmings would be mint!
As a Kiwi, I saw the street at the start and thought you were NZ. I grew up around lakes so the Dominator was a fishing boat for us regular people with a Yamaha on the back it was also good for a ski behind, some ballast bags and ya god to go on the wake board, plus they great in smooth and rough lake conditions! Anyways always been my go to, we had a Magnum when I was younger 140 HP Yamaha on the back, but we stared with as Fireball 14" with a 50HP merc on the back, I learnt to water ski off that and deep water start on a single ski, people said it was impossible, but I always proved them wrong, I could beach start and even get a jetty start now and again but she served me an the old man well skiing and fishing! But the Dominator ow I'm of older age and just a cruise with friends and family nothing to big, i found back in the day we had the most fun with the simplest stuff, wed all have high end jet skis, but me old man and our GFs and the boys would be on that boat all day, while the jet skis would get an hour then sit, not the boat, she went from dusk till dawn! Anyways congrats mate, Kiwi made and you will love it!
In the states, in the FLA panhandle, I am targeting a Center console, Jack plates, power poles, 23-27'feet , that can get into shallow bayous, and still run out onto the Gulf of Mexico.
Look awesome Matt, The Kimberly has to be done. Target for now is Senator 500 SC. Later down the line something bigger with a cabin that can go out further and for longer.
Haven’t watched many videos then mate 😂 ill jump on a project here and there but I’ll never claim to do all the work on the boats/cars. I can’t afford to have something break on our trips 🤙🏼
Probably not a bad idea considering that they are closing tracks in this country like there’s no tomorrow. It’s going to be one way of keeping the content going. But realistically 99 percent of us would never be able to afford it unless we all had the sponsorship that you do and go and get your self a coxswain ticket 😮
Makaira boats NZ for me 8mm hull with 8mm stringers strongest hull construction in the market with a Carolina flare bow absolute beautiful, workmanship is exceptional and their trailer designs and build is just art something we don't really see here in Australia
I’m not a big fan of boats but I’m happy with my 1992 bay liner quantum that I got for free. Put a couple hours of work on it and it’s been ok for a boat but it has got me on some 70-100 lbs catfish from the river I live on.
Saw this at the boat show, didn't twig at the time with explore offshore on it but was talked about if it could be yours. Cool to have seen it , nice boat.
Edit- Halfway though ep, trailer's done. Still good to see you promote Aussie businesses Southern boat trailer's in Melbourne can hook you up. Hit up ziggy. Absolute killers, when it comes to trailer's
Mate - as a 30year an diver I strongly advise go Yamaha. In all my time on the water the only time I ever lost days working was 25 years ago I swapped to Evinrude because a mate bought a dealership. Fortunately I changed back to Yamaha 9 months later. When I am asked what brand to get I just tell them to go down to the ramps when the boys are working and see what the majority of them are using! Cheers
Machina 771 would have looked good behind the ram! The high bow and aggressive style just look the goods! You’ve got yourself a nice looking tub though mate, we’ll done!
Stabicraft 2750 ultra centre cab, it's built to handle rough conditions, it's big and spacious, you can lock it all up and sleep comfortably or you open the front, and step through to the bow easy as..
Sydney Boat show this year.....the Offshore boys had, by far, the best finished product on the floor. I love my Barcrusher....but these Offshore boats are next level.....well done Matty....cant wait to see how she goes for you. 🤟🐟
Firstly, what a nice bloody boat.. 👌 I have my heart set on getting a Stabicraft 2450 Ultra Cab WT if I can make it work.. Dream boat... As for a name.... Grey Nurse.....🦈 Keep the content coming, and congratulations... 👍👍
I really hope that you can Matt .you remind me of my younger days back in the seventies and eighties before the technology they have today I would love to work for some one like you if you’re interested I live in SEQ
400hp a good choice. Outboard motors are just like Chainsaws, rifles and Wives. Always select one with a bit more performance than you think you are gunna need😂
Sweet boat brother 👌 I looked at offshore NZ but just a bit too much money ended up with a decked out Surtees 650 game fisher built in my home town so it was nice to buy something from my roots living here in QLD Australia
I have a question for you because I'm considering a touring business around Qld. Did you look into the tax advantages you can get for business purchases. "Pleasure craft" usually are not allowed to be claimed unless you run a business with boats. How does that work for you? Did you get any advice about it? Can you claim back on the boat because it's part of your channel? Cheers mate.
surtees 700 game fisher schmick boat, i used to live literally around the bend from surtees in bay of plenty NZ was a tease seeing some of the boats rolling out of the shed.
Bloody awesome. One question with only one engine on the transom and heading out remote do you have a backup if your engine malfunctions? Only ask because in some other countries you are legally required to have two engines if you go offshore.
Boats get really small real quick, especially if you get a feul leak and fumes, always happens,,!,,,,,,,,,then you'll get a 14 footer heavy plate with sand bags to smooth ride pounding down and a little60 to 115
I could feel the excitement in this video, had me smiling from ear to ear haha, I had a 21ft well craft eclipse a few years ago, wish I had it when I knew of Fraser 😅
Mate one day id love to get into an "image boat" i live in the south of nz these things are unreal flash as micheal jackson but just built for these conditions!
Ex Aucklander living in Qld here, dream boat would be a kiwi built too, 7.5M Makaira Boat with that Carolina Flare and all the trimmings would be mint!
The nz off shore boat is the best on the market the amount of storage it’s got is next level they thought about everything it’s my boat of choice
I'm a simple man ,,a 17 ft centre console is my dream boat
i would love to see a round Australia trip fishing diving exploring every coast line of our amazing country
Definitely a 4.5m plate boat 60hp tiller steer for cod fishing in the Murray but also big enough to take north Barra fishing 🤙
The ultimate all rounder 👌
I think that was smart money spent on the 400 Merc... It's the one thing you'll never want to spend the money to upgrade later. Well chosen 👍
A poor man spends his money twice...
Do it once...
Do it right

Gotta love the passion for exploring! I’m in the same “boat” for new boat hunting criteria. Will definitely go to the open day!
That is one gnarly boat. Far out. I’m not a boat person but now, I want one.
Name has to be " Letz Go "
Or “understatement”
In the states, in the FLA panhandle, I am targeting a Center console, Jack plates, power poles, 23-27'feet , that can get into shallow bayous, and still run out onto the Gulf of Mexico.
That's awesome. Can't wait to see more explore offshore!!!
My fave boat is the Haines Hunter 2250SL ski boat because I helped design it and built the prototype.
Look awesome Matt, The Kimberly has to be done. Target for now is Senator 500 SC. Later down the line something bigger with a cabin that can go out further and for longer.

Makaira boats NZ for me 8mm hull with 8mm stringers strongest hull construction in the market with a Carolina flare bow absolute beautiful, workmanship is exceptional and their trailer designs and build is just art something we don't really see here in Australia
