I put in a single-DIN Atoto stereo with a pop-out 7" screen that floats in front of the 2002 nav (climate still on nav). Not too in-the-way and so much less hassle. 68 ohm resistor tricks the nav into thinking it still has a radio. Only problem otherwise was I just had to run a new power circuit cuz the OEM power wasn't enough for the HU. Not criticizing the clean-looking delete, just wanted to share that other less-involved solutions exist assuming my nav lcd/digitizer doesn't fail.
Any timeline for release of the follow up video? I’m nearly finished with my writing and looking forward to installing new head unit. Great initial video!

I feel like the thing we need to underscore here is the radio mounting brackets. They are discontinued. So if we are getting the bezel from used parts/ salvage yard then we need to be salvaging the brackets too!? Anyone have these for the LX I’m highly interested!
