Recovery was chosen at 0.45 just to simplify the problem. In reality one would need to talk with the vendor and find out what the actual membranes can produce. In this example we didn't state explicitly what the number of modules would be inside each pressure vessel. But different numbers of modules would certainly affect the recovery.

Can you explain why recovery is 0.45 ? If we use 3 or 5 membrane modules will recovery change ? Thank you for answers
