The only reprieve would be if you had physical education, because instead of another 700-1000 page math book you'd only need gym clothes... but then at some point they'd have their swimming session, so you'd need a Swimsuit, towel, and extra plastic bags to try and keep the wet away from the dry, and wet meant heavy.

What they don’t tell you that in order to save space, you just destroyed your clothes by subjecting them to vacuum! The material deteriorates gradually if you keep doing this! Much faster than normal wear and tear!

Come on guys. If you want to go with maximising storage capacity then that’s all fine. But if you cram this full of stuff you’ll blow right past the weight restrictions you have with many airlines. Unless, that is, this air pump also is capable of reducing the mass of the items you put inside the bag - in which case someone is on a fast track to a Nobel prize.

I did this going to Korea many times with cheap see throygh vacuum bags- never had any issues, worst that happens is the vacuum bags slightly relaxed.
