Teslas always see me on my motorcycle. Tesla are my favorite car. They're the only one I usually don't have to worry about running me over. FSD doesn't fall asleep at the wheel. It doesn't text and drive either. It's much safer than a human.

Is that Watt for Watt comparison correct? I would think one should compare the energy to build a model with an intelligence of a 10 year old (say over the course of a month), with the energy consumed by a person from age 0 to 10.

Except AI perceives things differently such as time. It works more like a hive mind.

@@Settiis however individual thought still exists with humans. Since AI is a computer it processes information millions of times faster and can be in millions of places at once. The first humanoid robots that will come out will more than likely be cloud based due to the insane computing power they need meaning it will be an actual hive mind based in the clouds.

Tesla Autopilot doesn’t detect the simplest obstacles on roads… I guess we’re fine for some time
But it does still navigate live roads. 30 years ago that was science fiction. In 10 years time cars will be on par with humans and 5 years from that it will surpass.

@@SeanKula not yet…. But once AI mixes with quantum computing even if it doesn’t actually become sentient it will be able to perfectly imitate sentients when it’s 100X smarter than the average human. Might even be able to do it before quantum computing once 1nm analog chips are perfected.

An ant can navigate the world and has extremely complicated behavior. When we drive an automobile we don't use all of our brain mass. We develop heuristics and continually interate based on feedback. When we finally have self driving cars the computers and code will be remarkably simple and more reliable than a human.
It can barely pick up a fruit now... This is the same man who has been saying the past 7 years that "next year Teslas will be completely autonomous". I think he is smart, but probably he is 100 times better at marketing than engineering
Yeah the FDA approved neurolink and the next day Elon Musk was in China at his Tesla plant. That happened.

elon isn't a neuroscientist, he's an engineer who specializes in manufacturing. not only that, tesla (and spacex) being profitable provides funding for neurolink and his other small projects. it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out where his time is best spent.
Let get AI and machine learning working on how to achieve physical immortality for humans the hell with everything else. Once we can live forever we got plenty of time to figure everything else out
