What is the point of doing Restriction Digest before Gel Electrophoresis?

RD cuts the DNA sequence length to the specific region you want to amplify or work on. GE is used to measure the size eg molecular weight in either kilo bp of the "already cut" DNA fragment of interest. That's it in a nutshell.
