The funko market didnt crash. The flipper market is what crashed. Its the best thing that could have happened to the collectors.
Absolutely! It will be a glorious day when this flipper pariah is done with Funkos!
Also on top of that the Covid years inflated the pop prices a huge amount. We are only just seeing the stablizing of the price market from the time where people had lots of disposable income and free time to be on secondary markets bidding it out for them. Plus with Funko flooding the market on newer pops new pops arn't hard to get a hold of - that bought some prices down but alot of older pops have still held their value to a large extent they are just not at the inflated value they went up to. We are more at 2019 level of price which proberly would had held had the pandemic not hit.

Mostly all of those pops have remained consistent. The non desired pops are what dropped. The falcon and stan lee were never desired

You keep ranting about the 'Funko market plummeting', well you couldn't be more wrong...
- That Stan Lee Patina always stayed on that 10/12 price tag
- You mistook the COMMON Porg price instead of the CHASE (Which is $47)
- And no, Johnny Rico did not plummeted in value, in fact it has never been this high (about $10/14 in 2020-2022). And the con-stickered too, it used to go for $30 in 2020, about 50 in 2021 and 60+ 2023 onward.
Just goes to show he has absolutely no idea what he is talking about. Gamestop literally couldn't give those Johnny Rico pops away at even $5.
@@Decade_of_the_Dawg The other thing to remember is these mystery boxes are made to be opened upon recipt not 1-2 years down the line. Yes you may strike it lucky and hit a pop that for some reason has gone up in price like crazy but there are going to be pops put into these boxes that were put in while the prices were inflated on purpose (like con exclusives usally sit a premium for a month or 2 then settle down - that was before covid inflated the market) these are put in by the mystery box companies so 1. You seem to be getting a mega value when they know full well the price will not hold 2. so they don't have to have loads of grails to make a box run and still make a profit. If you are opening mystery boxes this late from release you need to be looking at what the prices were upon release to gage if it was a good box or not (chances are they were 'over value' most of the time due to adding an inflated pop as stated above) but most the time that pop will be back to retail or just above very quickly and not double the price it went to at release while everyone had FOMO

He is getting rid of them asap on marketplace to recoup some of the thousands of dollars he spent buying them. I never understood why people payed hundreds of dollars for a China made cheap plactic figure in a box, that doesn't even look like the character or actor.

Wanna be honest? You and these other bigger yt channels that promote whatnot is what killed the funko game. So once the king of the mystery box game, has destroyed the values. Pops just arent as fun anymore.

Star wars fans pretend that the new star wars movies are good just like they pretend pops are a sound investment. Buy vintage star wars ( 78 - 85 ) , save up if you have to, instead of buying 100 dollars worth of junk at walmart, put that 100 away for 6 months and buy something that is actually worth something. That is money in the bank
Vintage star wars go up over a period of years. So taking 100 dollars and investing in star wars figures you may double that in 5 to 10 yrs or you may lose that in that same time.
Toy collecting like shoe collecting and game collecting, even car collecting are never good investments. They can be worth something one day and the next worth nothing.
Only monetary investments that are worth it are stocks and creating a business
