My main character from the 1st game. Great dialogue w/Kuon at the start & finish. Good stuff with Kaguya. And after all he & Linne went through, what a talk with her. Awesome art throughout, including the last one. Nice vid.
So it's not paranoia. It's because of his current situations. Perhaps the reason Adel laid off many men from Litch Kreis, likely to avoid suffering a same situation as Wald or worst. RIP Waldstein. She forgive him.
So Wald and Adelheid were an item back in the day? Neat to get that confirmed, though there were already hints (mainly how badly she took his defection and how she has a soft spot for Mika). Edit: Mika being teased to succeed Adelheid once she's old enough to not have the stupid in her own ending also hints at this. I wonder...
Now that I got to see Adelheid’s side of things, there are two ways I can interpret this- 1: Mika’s powers and behavior remind Adelheid of Wald 2: Mika could’ve possibly been a child of they could have had if Waldstein not left. (Waldstein’s encounter with Mika in her arcade mode has a lot of grandpa vibes to it.)
They're so cute...... Anyway, I find Adelheid's treatment in this game extremely weird. Between this and the message Wagner delivered, she's seeming a lot more kind and good-intentioned then previously assumed (aside from like, ordering Wagner into a suicide bombing I guess). But with revelations from Kuon regarding the nature of Re-births, by all means she should be getting *worse*, and yet she seems to be getting better with time? I'm so curious what's up with her. She's mentioned in so many of the endings that it almost feels like she's being set up as the next boss character, unless that goes to Higan
Nah I'm definitely putting Higan up for a new villain than Adelheid. Nothing has really painted her in a negative light in this game, aside from ordering her soldiers to stop Kuon or die trying but most of them potentially succeed in that endeavor and come back alive.
@@DeepestDankest It's less that I think Adelheid is a villainous character and more that I think Kuon has established Rebirths as being ticking time bombs and her time is coming up
Adelheid seems pretty at peace with the knowledge that she's going to go and is planning for the future of her organization instead of desperately trying to prolong her now-apparently limited immortality. Although Wald's ending also states she's willing to wait forever for him too. While the ending CG does show the two from 500 years ago, Adelheid's voice still conveys someone really young and it's clear that Adelheid doesn't feel all that bitter anymore even if Wald doesn't sacrifice himself.
@@DeepestDankest To clarify, I don't think that Adelheid is going to suddenly turn evil or be revealed to be a villain all along, it's more that I think the mechanics (or whats been implied of them anyway) of Re-births will make it so that she won't have a say in the matter and will have to be put down.
Despite the betrayal, Adelheid never stopped caring for and loving Wald... ❤

We finally got to see a certain character’s design and voice acting at long last after waiting for so long.
Hopefully she is playable.
We technically saw her in a different outfit in Wagner's ending CG in the first game
Wagner wasn't even in the first game. You're thinking Chaos' ending.
@@DeepestDankest I'm counting all of the various title updates as the first game, but I think you're right anyways lol
I mean we didn’t get the full design or her voice until now all we saw was her face

I thought that was obvious.

@@davidxencaster6406 plus Mika's interaction with Wald in Uni 1 is essentially "I have no idea who you are, but I vibe with you on a spiritual level".
bro these arcade modes are killing me. they're so good!
Adelheid did have fellinga for wald after all. I always thought it was the case, but never saw any true indication until now

Kinda wish his first "story" fight was with Mika or Londrekia instead of Kaguya.
