Frankly, 80% of our fellow African countrymen can't pronounce SOUTH AFRICAN names, and the same thing is what we experience with most of their names. But these ousiders come thinking Africa is a one roomed house, speaking the same kind of language, where you would find names like ADABUKA/ODE/DEMBELE (which are only found up there in the northern countries).
@Jewel Myers No brah, obviously there's been a lot of good comments from some of the revolutionary folks out there. My little outburst is directed not to even Steve but to the evil entities who can't even acknowledge that what they are seeing and hearing is a totally different picture of how they thought they knew African and it's people to be, but instead they still keep on trying to think and talk down on us; *when coming to our uniquely Beautiful South African names, one of their stupid comments stated without any facts that we use all the alphabets in our names. And for our different indigenous lanuages in South Africa you'll find that our words are structured differently around certain but distinct letters and sounds, not the whole alphabets.* If these people who comment to show their superiority above us where that superior intellectually, their reasoning capacity must also show by them first asking how the names are so different cos most of those names fall under 2 very different groups that have their own different but similar lanauges the groups
@@bijou66 having lived in North America for several decades, the perception has not changed about Africa being one tiny little village or as Alex M Lebepe correctly put it "a one-roomed house'. That is the West's media and education/indoctrination systems to blame.
I agree with you about generalizations. But I have to say that even our people are not very helpful in educating others about Africa. I can't count the number of times I've heard someone being asked "where are you from?" and he/she responding "Africa."
