La voz de Elia Bastidas es extremadamente suave, hermosa y sensual. Perfecta para una de las clàsicas canciones de Tom Jobim. El idioma portuguès lo pronuncia con apasionada dulzura, asi se percibe. Su tiempo y ritmo, insuperables. Felicitaciones a Joan por mostràrnosla y a Elia por su exquisita calidad.

Èlia Bastida's melancholy singing really brought out the mood of this piece. The whole band was in great harmony and I particularly liked the solo of Marcal Perramon. Of course, the very controlled playing of Scott Hamilton showed his mastery. Very enjoyable. Thanks you all.

Qué maravillosa combinación de juventud y experiencia, las dos divinos tesoros!!! No hay nada de insensatez en esta interpretación, que raya la perfección, o lo mismo hasta la traspasa. Cómo consigues que los jóvenes estén tan concentrados, sean disciplinados, y al mismo tiempo sean felices, Joan?... Enhorabuena por tu excelsa labor con esta escuela de música de jazz, que sin duda tiene adeptos hasta en el mismísimo cielo, donde Jobim y últimamente Joâo Gilberto se sentirán orgullosos y contentos al escucharlos. Gracias también por compartir con tanta generosidad estas obras maestras. Crean adicción de la buena. Un abrazo grande desde los madriles, donde el jazz desapareció hace mucho tiempo.

No puedo dejar de admirar tu trabajo Joan Chamorro. Eres capaz de hacer que un grupo de adolecentes (excelentes musicos) puedan tocar de forma tan afinada y coordinada... mis respetos Joan y mi admiracion a Scott Hamilton, que pone su gran experiencia a favor del sonido del grupo. Un comentario para ti, que tocas todos los instrumentos con una ductilidad asombrosa, como si fueran tu instrumento de base. Gran director!!!

Another gem from the Sant Andreu Jazz Band playing a Antonio Carlos Jobim classic. Èlia Bastida's vocal on this is perfect! The audio and video quality is excellent.
I'm not sure Joan Monné gets enough credit. One of the best arrangers alive. And all of Chamorro's singers are good. Warms the heart of this retired voice teacher....
Another brilliant version of this lovely standard, great arrangement, vocals, solos and interpretation by the SAJB. And all the girls can sing and sing very well. We have versions from Andrea, Alba, the SAJB and now Elia. So many versatile musicians in the SAJB which itself has its own special sound.
Elia has a deep voice timbre, beautiful like always, sigue cantando!
I think I've figured it out. Joan is a mad scientist with an underground lab where he cranks out great singers and musicians. Nothing else could explain the talent pool here.

This is at least the fifth interpretation of this song by the band (and Andrea), and it differs A LOT from the others!
I didn't get the first harmony, but, from the second beat, all is fine!
Elia singing in her own style makes a difference, and the band follows suite in a special arrangement.
Scott Hamilton adds a class of his own - immerging into and emerging from the pack!

Fabulous arrangement as usual by Joan Monné ... sensitive vocal by the wonderful Èlia Bastida and excellent solos by Marçal Perramon and Scott Hamilton. The sheer inventiveness and imagination of Marçal's solo work is astounding - ( his and Joan Martì's ). Please come and perform in my lounge - It's about the right size ... I just need to put up a few drapes !!

Kudos to Elia for a very nice sweet job. And Marçal's solo is super impressive. But I think the highest praise has to go to someone not seen here -- I'm talking about Joan Monné and his amazing and unusual arrangement. And of course, the whole ensemble executed it perfectly!

Bravo for this perfect performance from the tiny Jazz House Studio! Warm and soft solo and ensemble sound that no professional band could outperform. And I must agree to a previous post - highlight of this masterpiece definitely is the ingenious arrangement of Joan Monné that makes it one of the coolest Bossa Nova tracks I've ever heard. No surprise after his fabulous "Águas De Março"-Arrangement and many others. Looking forward to more Jazz House session gems.
