what does 'green flag' mean?
anyway, if I were transported back almost 100yrs, everything would be strange, maybe not as dangerous here as it is in rural North Thailand back in 1927 (rebels etc, still kingdoms besides the one in Bangkok, archaic laws) but finding someone who protects you in this strange environment and loves you would be of great help surviving this nightmare. and if that someone is very kind, considerate and handsome, you just won the jackpot

Green flag is like someone truly loving you for who you are and nothing else, someone that sees the you you are and accepts it. Someone that will be there for you and will also tell you the truth, someone that'll be for you in your presence and out of your presence.

Hello. I'm not an expert but my guess is that it's similar to a fob watch. You would clip it onto a belt loop and wear it in your pocket. Back in the day, gentlemen would wear it clipped onto their waistcoats and in the shallow pocket of the waistcoat.
This particular watch looks spherical like a marble which I think is unusual. Pocket/fob watches are/were usually flat like a wrist watch or the nurses watch you referred to.
