I always hate it when people say you play the game wrong, as if you have to do it exactly as they did.

I personally do a lot of point launching and web zipping after a couple swings in Marvel's Spider-Man, this is something I probably did since Web of Shadows.
Most games are meant to be played in many different ways, so why does it matter? If people want to play and swing around in a Spider-Man game however they want, go right ahead, don't belittle others, and go off about them not doing what YOU would do. It would defeat the whole purpose of being different and unique.
I found a dumb screen rant article where they say that Secret Invasion ruins the Hulk in the Avengers since they could have used the Skrulls to find and retrieve the Tesseract since they are immune to radiation. You should check it out since you sometimes break down articles like this.
My preferred swing is to launch off the web and then dive to build up speed and swing up again.
Luckily we played through Miles Morales correctly on I, the let's play channel.
Great video man, and attention to detail! I’ve always wanted to replicate the swinging animations and expressions from the movies in game. If insomniac added such deep mechanics and animations it would feel like your Spiderman expressing how you want to swing. A sense of realism eloquence and pizazz when traversing as Spiderman.
Hopefully Marvel Spiderman 2 delves deeper in those aspects and allow all of us to express ourselves as Spidermen and not have our freedom of expressive traversing be dictated by the closed minded asinine minds that think its a rule to swing a certain direction.
Good people just walk on the sidewalks from point A to point B and obey sidewalk rules. If kids swing around and ignore sidewalk rules, they will ignore all rules and society will collapse horribly.
Just tell them youre gonna game however the hell you wanna game 😂, some people got too much time on their hands to nitpick some of the smallest things.
*There is no right or wrong way to play a game. Games are meant to be enjoyed how you choose.

Honestly, how swing in Insomniac Spider-Man is by buuldng up the swing to the max height and then press X with the accusational Web Zips and boosting off.

Internet people will also criticize Nintendo for trying to force people to play their games how they want you to play them.
I agree with almost everything that you said. What i disagree with is when you say not all games need an easy mode or difficulty levels. As we get older and lose our ability to game as well, easy modes in games means that we can go back to our favourite games and play them still. I dont want easy modes so that i can be lazy and not learn to play the game now. But i paid money to play games, and id hope to continue to be able to play them till i get old.
I think it really depends on the type of game. I don't really expect every game to cater to me, even if I'm older. If something is really way to difficult for me I'll just watch someone else a bit.

No mandatory easy modes, but do we have to play a game on 5! difficulties nowadays? From which the 4th and 5th are just impossible and make you rage quit
Oh yeah that's a bit much too lmao. They middle 1 or 2 will be the most fun, the easiest will be boring and the 2 hardest will be so annoying that you'll want to rage and sell the game.
Yeah there's a point where it's not fun at all and it was clearly just "Ramp it up so we can throw an achievement or trophy in there and people don't complain about replayability because they'll be stuck on this artificially difficult spot for 5 hours." That equally doesn't fit the game design of most games.

Yep and it's your money. People shouldn't be backseat telling you how you have to play the thing. It's a game for a reason. A lot of people online feel the need to strip everything fun from things and turn them into chores or obligations.

@@WarFox7012I don't understand the people with the narrative of "the swinging is just a movie but with an r2 hold input qte's" when they literally explain to you in the tutorial to press x to boost, in fact they FORCED you to do it to progress through the tutorial, same with launch points (L1 R1)

I am completely flabbergasted by this entire issue. Generally speaking, if I see someone playing a game well, but differently, I tend to take notes.
For example, I was taking notes at how you racked up that crazy combo at that Sable base. It made me realize that I haven't been using my gadgets enough.
Yea this is a weird thing to critique another player about. Now, if that player is going around saying that the traversal in this game trash and "all you have to press is R2", then we should call them out on that (especially if that person is clearly not using the entirety of the mechanic).
Any ideas for improvement on their system (that doesn't change their entire system) shouldn't be shot down imo.
I completely agree with you I used to all ways put it on easy mode and I didn’t find the game enjoyable at all but now I like to challenge myself and I think people need a challenge to appreciate what ever it is in Arkham knight I decided to do it in knight mare mode yes it was difficult but I had so much fun actually learning and playing the game

There seriously is no right way to play a game specially this game me personally I usually do point launches a lot because it picks up the speed and I think we should actually talk more about the options this game gives you for example the combat you can do different moves use different gadgets and the options are there so you have your own style when playing i actually didn't realize this until now watching this video but its true. Something I like to do is fill the focus bar and do finishers back to back and I can tell you to do that but that should be just a suggestion if you play normally and still enjoy and win it then thats your way of having fun with it
As long as you know how to play it and the way you play it....who cares, some of those people that said "you don't play it like how I play it" needs friends and a life.

On the point of maybe I’m the issue with not being able to beat the game… I tried Arkham asylum on hard mode and boy… I must of fought fricking bane like 500 times, and poison ivy like 50. I feel though the intent was to make it nearly impossible lol

Not really. To be fair, you should hear from someone else since I still only have the ps4 versions of SM and Miles Morales.
@@QTRemnant I really think that's the superior version. Notice in this video whenever he does web attacks they just start glitching out whereas in the original they fade away gradually so it's no distracting.

That's a great point I should have actually also had a doctor medically induce a coma on me, then have an experimental hand transplant surgery, and after the recovery I could have done the "6 months of physical rehab new hands challenge run" so my opinion was better tbh.

That's your choice and nobody is stopping you (I hope) but mandatory difficulty modes (and this applies for making a game way too hard as well) are silly and foolish if they don't fit the structure of the game and impact player enjoyment by dumbing it down or ramping it up to the point where it isn't balanced. That's basic game design.

People having an opinion on how people are swinging, which is entirely dependant on how the person feels like swinging, is so ridiculous and shows how messed up the internet is. People have become so aggressive and opinionated that it hinders everyone else and their experiences as a human being just trying to have fucking fun playing a game. The world’s gone mad dude.
To be honest I play it has my own style before because it doesn't matter at all how you swing in the swinging system because it's about you having a your own aesthetic and your own sound,your own voice and your own way it doesn't matter to me as a person what other style is it do you want it to be as along as you play it your own instead of critique yourself just like other spider people who has they're own aesthetic like Gwen Stacy,miles morales,hobie brown, etc everyone had they're own because one good reason they do it they're own aesthetic and they're own way in life
If your not dying or failing a mission are really playing it wrong also I know he has been Spiderman for awhile in this game but id like to see Spiderman mess up in web swinging like in the comic's cartoon's or even the move's were he get's hurt or has to hurry and put another cartridge in the web shooter the comedy of Spiderman isn't him just making jokes
The only time I think that “criticism” makes sense is when people say that the swinging isn’t that cool or interesting or not that great or needs to be better. It is very possible to swing in a way that doesn’t look cool or interesting but it’s also very possible to swing in a way that does look awesome and takes full advantage of all the features. But yea if they’re not saying the swinging is bad then who cares how anyone swings it’s a game for fun.

I’ve had a similar experience with the Arkham games, specifically with how I do the challenge maps. I never focus on completing the challenges but instead aim to see how quickly I can clear a room of criminals while also striking as much fear into them as possible.
Some will say this is the wrong way to do those challenges, but at the end of the day the game is about BEING Batman and that’s how I imagine Batman acting.
The same can be said about the Spider-Man games. While the overall story is the same for everyone, the way YOU play and complete the game, from the main story to the side-missions, is YOUR version of that game. So for a person to say that someone’s way of playing a game is wrong is so ridiculous.
How dare you, seriously, how dare you play the game the way you want, and swing the way I wouldn’t! Everyone is supposed to swing the same way, how dare you enjoy the game and play it how you want too, fun is illegal, unless it’s the same way I play. When you bought the game, you should’ve taken into consideration that I don’t swing that way, I want $100 in compensation for this truly disgusting behavior.

Edit: it’s annoying that people have to be told that they aren’t playing right, a good game shouldn’t need to be played the same way by everyone, there are exceptions for more simple games, but usually people should be able to have their own style.
