Your videos are awesome, keep up the good work! I'm doing ABC with my kids and wife this April, can't wait - did the AC 21 years ago, looking forward to returning to Nepal
@@TheMenWhoStareAtMountains I did two more-intense treks 30 years ago. Now looking for something gentler but still gorgeous. You have the best info that I've found!
thanks men for another truly amazing and well put together video. did the trek many moons ago without decent filming equipment and now its all brought back to life because of you. well done.
Trekking monk I did this trek in 1980 starting from Ghandruk and when from Chomrung onwards there was only a hut made from bamboo at Bamboo (literally) and the Hinko cave where one could get a cup of tea and a restless nights sleep. There was a group doing this as a camping trek. What a difference 40 years make.
@@TheMenWhoStareAtMountains Adventurus, yes. Pre 1980s all treks from Pokhara actually started walking from Pokhara town itself. The motorable road did not extend much beyond the Tibetan camp outside Pokhara. The lakeside itself had maybe a few simple hotels catering to trekkers. There were very few trekking companies even then. Thamel district did not even exist as we know it today. The main trek then was to Tatopani and Jomsom. The Anapurna circuit started in about 1980.
Did ABC starting from Ghandruk and ending at Jinhu Danda April 2022 with my 13 and 10 year old kids. They loved it and now are begging me to take them to EBC next!
Hi Toni - thanks for sharing your excellent and informative videos. I've watched them over the last 18 months and really thank you for doing versions in English. I did the Manaslu Circuit in April 2022, having previously done EBC 2015/2017. I am back in Nepal in March this year to do the Langtang and Gosainkund trek. Your videos are always are so accurate in describing the walks and the videography is so inspiring. I also enjoy your honesty, saying its tough when it is and showing the hard work you've had to put in to the hike. The Manaslu EBC day walk recap always makes me laugh... 'there you have it 4400m is BS'. Anyway thanks again and to see more from you in the future. Jerry
Hi Toni, thank you for putting up this wonderful video. I am hoping to do this trek in the near future. I was wondering how you feel about your guide service. Would you recommend them?
Hi James! I can definitely recommend both Sukra as a guide and Prems Nepal Trek as an agency in general. Especially (but not only) for the Annapurna region since Prem and his team of guides were actually the ones marking all the trails in the area.
Middle of October to early December will have the best weather, but might be crowded. March to May has less stable weather but isn't as crowded. Winter is too cold and summer is monsoon.
Amazing video. Very informative.

Thanks again! 😁 Langtang and Gosainkund might fit the bill, too. They are also not too difficult.

Trekking in the 80s must have been magical and much more adventurous!

That's awesome trek. What month is better to trek the ABC? Thanks for advise.
