I was in graduate school at Johns Hopkins 30 years ago, and I’m sure I could’ve used this then. Still, I’m sure I’ll bookmark this video for future use. Thanks for the innovative video Sophie. I also love how your top blends into the background at times. Not sure if you were purposefully planning that or not.
Wonderful video as always! I love how chill this vid is and how it reminds me of when I was in school. It reminds me of my English teacher who would sit and mark my work. I found english lessons incredibly therapeutic for my soul as the class was always quiet and the sound of writing and pages turning was super relaxing
Pomodoro is Italian for tomato, but also in this case, it's a time management technique created by a guy called Francesco Cirillo that breaks up your workload into 25-minute chunks, followed by 5 minute breaks, to reduce the risk of getting distracted. He named it after the tomato-shaped kitchen timer he used to develop the technique.
I loved the video itself, soft ambient sounds and all, however I'm afraid this method doesn't seem to work for me and I had such hopes 🥲 After literally eight minutes my brain was like uuughhhhhh what do you mean this was not 25 minutes, I can't focus longer than THIS! Note to self: finally get tested for ADHD, we've been putting that off for seven years now...
If you can't focus for 25 but 8 then try 8? Maybe 8/4 to get started and if things start rolling then move on to 25/5 or 10/5 or 15/5 what ever works. I use short intervals like this all the time when I'm having serious problems starting and/or focusing.
This video is amazing! I just decided to try the pomodoro technique so this was perfectly timed. I’m also feeling anxious today, so the combination of the timer and the relaxing sounds is exactly what I need for both focus and stress relief. This is definitely going into my ASMR playlist. 😊
While I love your videos to relax and go to sleep - I was suprised by this Pomodoro-Video. Thank you for this nice change - I love to listen to Pomodoro-Videos during my work. They help me to focus and also not to forget taking my breaks to drink and get up to move a bit. This is realy a nice extra for your channel. 🤗
