  • this is the NEW version of what to put in your contract and invoice as a freelance graphic designer! I recently rebranded my personal brand and wanted to switch up the design and look of my current contracts and invoices for when I work with clients, companies, and brands. Oh, I also share some info too. Enjoy!

I'm a freshman graphic designer student and your videos are my favorite thing!! And just like you I posts vlogs of my *painting*. Honestly, learned a lot from you and even listed crucial information. Your vlogs should gain more subscribers❤️

Noticed that you are not using Paragraph Styles or Character Styles in your doc. They allow you to change fonts throughout entire document without having to manually adjust each individual text frame!

If you know how to use Character/Paragraph styles in InDesign, it would make changing all your heading, body copy, etc fonts/typefaces much quicker, if that makes sense... Just so you don't have to go in and edit them one by one. :)

I actually don’t like using paragraph styles but I get u!

@@DanicaAndVictoria If you are working with Adobe InDesign, it is highly recommended to use Character and Paragraph styles to enhance your workflow, particularly for documents spanning multiple pages. It is not just a matter of comfort but a sign of unprofessionalism and laziness. It is similar to not naming your layers in Photoshop. Take the time to do the work and be professional. However, it is understandable that a good percentage of young designers may not use InDesign as much, especially if their work does not require a layout application, and in those cases, it might not be worth the time invested in learning those feature sets.

Could you make a video how you send invoices to clients and how you get paid? A lot of clients of mine want to work through PayPal these days so let me know.

PayPal has invoice templates that you can send, or I just send my invoice via email and they just send the amount via PayPal (business not friends and family)
