Check it: jazz basement, Boston, late 60s, weeknight, near empty; table 9ft from the MAN. He introduces this new kid, Klugh, on his first tour with GB, who leaves him to a solo set while he calls home from the payphone. Unforgettable. Unforgettable, y'all.
Thanks to share the story, i knew only since my first elementary school on 1980 when he captivated my ears with magic in your eyes composition, since that time series of his cassette album become my daily dose ……wish to attend his life performance someday…
At 17:06 to 17:20…I was like WHAT WAS THAT!?!? Yikes wow one of the most incredible chromatic guitar licks I’ve ever heard, and it just kept going and going until the end of the song! Unbelievable and beautiful playing by the master George Benson
I first saw George at the St Lucia jazz in 07 , oh my it was a dream come through . Since then I saw him on 2 other occasions .This brother is in a class of his own . I started to follow his music since 1976. with the on broadway album. Great work George .
Bro On That 20 20 Session With That Lady Was Such An. Anomali, Y'all Were So Almost Perfect I'm In Awe, Sad This Video Is Over 40 Years Ago I Soo Miss The 80'$ God Bless You!!!
So glad I found this, I was George Benson's personal assistant/valet on that tour, wonderful memories, greatest time of my life. Im in the video release of dreaming from collaboration.❤️
Te amo George Benson e instrumentalistas el mejor concierto que nunca me canso de verlo, me motivas cuando quiero salir en mi mountainbike por por los senderos de Barcelona I love forma ever ....
In spite of the fact they spent most of Earl's set screwing around with the equipment, and Earl was dressed as if someone called him in his hotel room while he was having a beer and watching the game and told him, "We need you onstage in ten minutes. George wants to do a few cuts from 'Collaboration'." The bass player's incessant gyrating and bouncing around doing 80s aerobics (Ala Olivia Newton John), on every song was an unnecessarily unpleasant distraction from the demeanor of the rest of the group, and the set. I thought this was supposed to be a smooth jazz set? George doing more pop singing than jazz grooving. Yeah, good performance. But I've seen better from both of them, believe me.😕
Gorge Benson is the master of jazz guitar also the way he sing is so relaxing music want a wonderful musician exits all the musicans are so sonds great thank you

I first saw George Benson when he performed at the Club Zambezi in Washington DC in the early 70's. He was jazz guitarist with an organ trio. The audience was primarily jazz guitarists. In fact, George gave me advice on how to control feedback from my guitar. It was excellent advice.

Wowwww!!! Fantastic!!!!!!!

Longue vie à toi benson
A music machine 🤖 for real GB.
Unbelievable musicality.
53 thumbs down people here were Klughless.
Such an innovative man. Who gets jazz pop out of a Spanish guitar beside Reinhardt.
No kidding. These guys are two of the best ever... George did stray from his jazz purist roots a bit, but... they are soooo good.
That's really beautiful reviving jazz God bless🙏🏻
