Thank you DD for making me smile and laugh just from watching your antics and big furball body. DD is very smart and I think his mind is always searching for new ways to discover things. He's a Cream Heroes genius . . . . and bread lover.
For anyone who is curious to why DD and cats in general like to hide in small spaces, and are capable of doing so. Then here’s a short explanation. In the wild cats are predators and prey, so they tend to hide often. Usually in tight places that the predator wouldn’t expect them to be in or too small for the predator. They feel secure in small spaces-like boxes. For other reasons could also be curiosity. As for how they get in there- they have flexible sleek body, along with disjointed arms( they’re like floating above so they can stretch out and squeeze into tight places)
Yes, the vet called them "floating clavicles." It lets them squish themselves nearly flat and compress easier from side to side :). Generally if they can get their heads into it, they can get the rest into it too, unless they are too fat lol
