Selena has one the greatest voices of all time in Latin Music. JLO says it clearly while interviewed in the Actors Studio that she did not sing in the movie, look it up.

J.Lo is a good singer in general but she is lip synching to a recording of Selena...It wouldnt be as powerful if J.Lo sang it, because then it wouldnt capture the escense of the film and stuff.
