- “But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint” (Isaiah 40:31).
We had been slave to sin
But God had set us free from all our sins and transgressions.
God has not only set us free from our sins, but He has also brought us to the glory of the children of God.
“Speak comfort to Jerusalem, and cry out to her, That her warfare is ended, That her iniquity is pardoned; For she has received from the Lord's hand Double for all her sins” (Isaiah 40:2).
We also received the remission of sins through God's redemptive love.
But we often feel discouraged by the burden of physical pain or severe reality.
That's why we think that God doesn't know or care our afflictions.
“Why do you say, O Jacob, And speak, O Israel: ‘My way is hidden from the Lord, And my just claim is passed over by my God’?” (Isaiah 40:27).
But the Omniscient God counts even our hairs.
When Lazarus of Bethany died, Martha and Mary complained that the Lord had come late.
But the Lord raised Lazarus to life by caming at the most appropriate time.
There is God's proper time in everything under the sun, not ours.
Those who have faith in God wait for the Lord's time.
“The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much” (James 5:16).
The righteous who believe in the goodness and omnipotence of God pray in faith and wait for God's timing.
During the whole year of 2022, I hope our congregaion to stand firm in faith in the Lord who works in His time.
