  • Microkorg, 05R/W, Behringer UB1202, Alesis QX49 all velcro'd up on my keyboard stand for live gigs. Showing some of the differences in sounds, easy adjustments, and MIDI capability. Playing through my home studio speakers. Live I just plug in a PA channel in stereo or mono via DI box.

For a guitar guy, your a natural on keys. Nice setup. Wonder how simple it'd be to use a controller with a "regular" workstation like a motif XF?

Thanks for uploading. I was wondering if you would share how you programmed your faders and pads on the QX49?

a little bit late, but i realized that some needful informations aren't explained in the guide for the qx49 but if you have a look on the manual from the qx61 you'll find how to use the data1, 2, and 3 to program those triggers and sliders ... you may also see the velocity curves etc.

If you want to do a performance in a big club, how do you conect the laptop to the speakers?

get a 1/8 inch cable that connects to a 1/4 inch cable. Then plug the 1/4 inch side into a direct box that runs to the speakers.

There is no laptop in the setup. I use a DI box to balanced XLR to the PA

Hey mate just wondering how you've conenexted the microkorg to the keyboard, is there anything extra you have to do on the synth? Or is it straight keyboard OUT to microkorg IN? Cheers
