hi! I don't get you. we cannot use numbers as labels. labels are categorical data. and numbers are not categorical. numbers are continuous values.
does this answer your question? if not, please elaborate on what you are trying to plot in the pie chart.

You probably want something like this -->ax.pie(people,labels=people,autopct='%1.1f%%'). If that helps at all.
