I am also ok with actual AI stuff but I dont like when it is not clearly stated that it is AI. I believe this and understand it completely but my opinion is... It would be all great as it is already without the pain and suffering at the end and beginning of each cycle of experience as being one of everything of one again.
Let's talk about "If I should die before I wake." If others die before we are also awoken by the death of those things which maintian the idea that we will lose our true selves we would never have existed in the first place. 🎉
I just want to be self with no others. Others are the force that make me doubt myself. Opposition cannot be with no others. If I take my life will I finally be alone?
He's speaking about the proverbial nothing, but nothing is not the same as an empty space. By definition, nothing cannot exist. I get and support the necessary existence of opposites, but nothing is not an opposite of something. Nothing is the absence of anything. But then again, Alan Watts is a famous cherished thinker and I am just an idiot...
Yes, solid requires nothingness. However, emptiness does not need solidness. It is our mind cannot perceive nothingness as that is not how our world exists.
If nothingness doesn't depend on its opposite, we wouldn't exist. Modern people are weirdly uncomfortable with the idea that our existence is a necessary consequence of something beyond us.
Ever watched the dog you love die? They go so fast. Not enough years Your best friend is gone It seems like he never existed. Only pictures That’s the only thing that proves he existed. People are the same but a dog never had a bad thought about you. What is the point of life except to live now.
They dont go fast ....a dig can be alice for 12 years....we are getiing slower.....îs just time perception.....and we as humans invented time....time only exist to measure speed...so the slower we get (Boeing older) ....we perceive time going faster.....but its the same...
Alan was brilliant but a man of his time. Our world is measurably level across its entire expanse. We do not know it's full extent or where we really are. He was a man of the fraudulent space age. I want people coming here to think again about this world.
Everything is nothing. Form is the formless aspect of that which this labels as awareness. The formless aspect of consciousness reflected is form. Form is not. This is why I am aware of it, because I am aware that I am nothing. Form cannot explain this because form is nothing. But I am real. I am that I am. I am.
Apparently, contrary to the theory presented here, you can have commercials on a program you'd prefer to listen to uninterupted. I wonder if advertisers ever consider that some people don't appreciate this and the interuption puts their product(s) on the customers do not buy list. Same goes for your channel - get the message? No? Goodbye!!!!
"Nothing is what a rock dreams if" - Aristotle. Nothing is less than nothing. Nothing is not a set full of 0s, its also not an empty set, nothing doesn't even have a set. Linguistics cant even talk about nothing. We say "there is nothing". "THERE". we cant even describe it without giving nothing a set.
I am pretty sick but whenever I try to face the emptiness my personality and ego go 911 on me and panic sets in. Alan seems to have managed his ego sense It takes a lot meditation or courage perhaps both to face the unknown. As I said I am not well but our police state will not provide me the means or circumstance to overcome my attachment to a truly painful life.I cannot acquire the meds to live life or leave it.Sometimes I think I can’t leave this life for some reason but that is probably ego talking.Any government that will not refrain from interfering with right to life/ death issues is facism.
Alan was but a man. He was addicted to vices like drinking to cope with the pain of life. He just understood life a bit better than the average joe, and that in itself was painful.
An observant man said man is a bad animal. Sadly, it can be argued that he was right. People seem incapable of living in peace. The Christ taught a good lesson which we struggle to live by. World peace is a hug away! Shame on the human animal...

You mistake something for nothing. Nothing can't exists. Something can. For something to exists there must be a something to begin with. That means that something has always existed. That something must be capable of creating THINGS that mirror it. Creative attributes. Images of itself.. The universe came into existence as something. Created.
@@sunkintree you just ruined your your argument when you said SOMETHING CREATED GOD...THAT MAKES NO SENSE..WHAT ON EARTH COULD CREATE GOD..answer is nothing..
something is a concept. There's no such thing as things. a thing is a property that our mind does to label things for the benefit of our understanding. Therefore, everything that we can see is nothing (not a thing). to be a thing, there has to be a percever to label it. nothing is a concept, but it's more grounded to reality because there was never a thing to begin with. for this reason, in order for the universe to be infinite, it has to be nothing because if it didn't, it would be finite and limited. so it is nothing. There's nothing to keep it limited, so it gives freedom to be anything.

damn your comment made me tear up lol i have always been weird and it hurts me so much when people say it to me, even now in my thirties.
@@BigGnomeTCG I will bet you I am a lot weirder than Alan or you combined!🙃
Very nice discourse of Alan Watts. So meaningful and relatable 🙏🙏❤
Nothing is, as a bird eliminated seed, not needed becomes !
To be and not to be. There is no question.
I used to have a recurring dream that came randomly sometimes with years apart. More of a nightmare because I woke up terrified and I needed to leave the house and sleep somewhere else if I was by myself. It was a dream about nothing.

You are alive bc you can still "feel" LOL. Both are one!
@@Axemvision awesome 😎
I also feel dead but it comforts me that nothing is permanent and because I once felt alive I will therefore somewhere in space and time feel alive again and be in a place that I belong and I will be glad and so will you 💖
Thanks
Appreciate you David❤🙏

Best Alan Watts lecture!!! Thank you!!!
People think I’m weird but that’s because I am - Morrissey
Wow he figured that one out did he???
It scares me that I'm begining to have a hard time knowing when it's AI and when it's not. For those that love Alan Watts and other personalities, please don't turn them into AI for you to make a buck. It corrupts the original works and mixes it with fake 'footage'.
Btw, I'm not saying this is fake.
I began listening to it but when it talked about the "Michael Somali" experiment that disproved ether I got suspicious since it is called the "Michelson-Morley" experiment. The audio in this video sounds much more believable than most fakes though.

@@Fnord1984 timestamp?
@@Fnord1984 Alan Watts doesn't say "Michael Somali", the transcription on the screen is wrong. Listen to it again without being influenced by the words on the screen. I get why you're suspicious but this isn't an A.I. Alan Watts lecture. The A.I. ones I've come across are saying things that obviously didn't come from Alan Watts anyway. This is a real lecture. Maybe they cleaned up the audio a bit with A.I. though.
@@corneliusthecrowtamer1937 Yes you are right, I did notice after I wrote that comment that I was in the wrong here, had quite low audio on and just read the text while listening and misheard it. I noticed there was plenty of misspellings of words in the video. Im ok with them cleaning up audio that is fine. I am also ok with actual AI stuff but I dont like when it is not clearly stated that it is AI. There is a LOT of AI Alan Watts stuff going around and the bad part is that it is almost never stated when it is AI being used representing Alan Watts and that I do find very unfortunate.
I believe this and understand it completely but my opinion is... It would be all great as it is already without the pain and suffering at the end and beginning of each cycle of experience as being one of everything of one again.
Let's talk about "If I should die before I wake."
If others die before we are also awoken by the death of those things which maintian the idea that we will lose our true selves we would never have existed in the first place. 🎉
All you have to do is close your eyes.
I just want to be self with no others. Others are the force that make me doubt myself. Opposition cannot be with no others. If I take my life will I finally be alone?
Everything is everything and something except nothing
People go mad because we have The " Internet ", its too much to process.
Internet in quotes here is hilarious 😂....or deep?! 🤔🤨
He said everything is the opposite of nothing. And something is what lies between.
My wife acts like she's dead whenever we're in bed together - she's the ultimate stoic
Yes, solid requires nothingness. However, emptiness does not need solidness. It is our mind cannot perceive nothingness as that is not how our world exists.
@@WendyAgnes our mind can perceive nothingness, but not in this physical world
@@yungdkay1008 Unfortunately we exist in this physical world 😄
@@WendyAgnes when we die we would exist in the non-physical world and get a grasp of what nothingness is
If nothingness doesn't depend on its opposite, we wouldn't exist. Modern people are weirdly uncomfortable with the idea that our existence is a necessary consequence of something beyond us.

No? Goodbye!!!!

You mistake something for nothing. Nothing can't exists. Something can. For something to exists there must be a something to begin with. That means that something has always existed. That something must be capable of creating THINGS that mirror it. Creative attributes. Images of itself..
The universe came into existence as something. Created.
Something came from nothing. That's the fact although it's hard to believe
@@yungdkay1008 god is always something..the universe came from it..therrfore something
its not necessary to have something. Something came from nothing. That is the fact. Its the nature of something, that it will come from nothing.
