GALA SEVENS 2012 FINAL - JEDFOREST v HERIOT'S

The new format for the Sevens at Gala had pools instead of a straight knockout competition for the first time, and the event was an evening tournament - again a first for the event. Jedforest made the final and were looking to lift the trophy for the first time in 91 years - their last five attempts in previous finals were unsuccessful. Meanwhile Heriot's were looking to go one step better than last year when Melrose beat them in the final.
