I love acrylic markers. That's what drew me into art. I like the nostalgia of the art. It reminds me of the pop art in the 80s and 90s. I just love the simplicity of it. Love your channel ❤

I love how detailed you are with color. Especially with Posca Pens. I always thought these pens were so cool but hated the look of texture on paper. When I found your channel it was very inspiring to see the dedication you have with your art. It looks so fun. Thanks for sharing your tips on your technique & your thoughts on the type of paper you use. Much appreciated.

Thanks so much! I'm glad my channel has provided some help to you, and yeh the paper really affects the texture! I hated how it looked when I ever tried it on a regular sketchbook xD

I first heard of acrylic markers when I was looking for ways to add white highlights as a final touch. I started with a white Posca marker and now have a pastel set! It’s great for using on other mediums like glass or wood too.

I actually got into acrylic markers through my older sister! She used them a lot (she's now more into oil painting), and she used to let me try them myself, and I still have some of her old markers still in use since she used to have a lot of them :) she also gave me basically all of her sketch papers too since she now obviously uses either painting canvases or digital art

I use acrylic art markers to paint on surfaces that would normally be difficult or frustrating to get clean lines on - for example, shiny papers or rough surfaces! It's a fun way to get a pop of colour thats easily controlled, while being versatile enough to allow for a lot of creativity. Thanks for this walkthrough!

Great way to use these markers! I just tried white and yellow acrylic markers on a watercolour painting and it's so helpful!

💌I seen a few artists in the communities on Facebook im apart of using them. Having mainly worked with watercolor/acrylic/gouache in the past i thought it would be a convenient way for me to work while having children (I was right lol) but I didn't expect to get so.. involved lol
I use them for all of my commissions and personal works now. I started using them 4 months ago and haven't picked up a paint brush since. (The longest I've gone in 7 years!)
I was so excited when I found your channel because you opened up a whole new possibility for the way these can be used and I've been pushing the boundaries with them since and have really started to stand out with them.
I'm so thankful for you and all you've taught me! Congratulations again for reaching this milestone! You so deserve to be rewarded for all of your hard work! 💘

awww Allyson ❤️ I'm glad my videos have opened up new ways for you to use these markers. I totally relate to you, they are so convenient and I haven't picked up any other art mediums in 2 years lol I actually tried to get back to pastels one day, and as soon as I put down one stroke I was like nah I want to use acrylic markers instead haha. Thank you so much and I hope you will continue creating art with these!

I found Posca pen acrylic markers from RUclips videos! I was trying to find out what gouache was and how to use it and all these Posca videos showed up. I thought I really want to try these out and immediately sstarted researching them! I like that I can pretty much draw on any surface I want with them and the color selection is pretty good. Also there are different nib sizes and that makes it easier to find the right size to use for any projects.

I am having so much fun with my marker set from Mossery….if finallly came! I did email Mossery to see if they were going to make a refill for the marker paper….it was a new experience for me…..but produces beautiful results…so now I’m hooked. They said they had NO plans to release a refill insert fo this set….little disappointed. So is ma going to order from your card shop in CA. For more paper. Thank you so much for these videos……truly is a help…especially for those of us who purchase this set! thank you!

Hi Lynn, oohhhh well I'm gald you like the marker set!! That's strange they said that, maybe it will be available as a sketchbook but not just a refill? Since the sketchbook will include covers so it will be a bit more expensive. I'll check with them at one point again. If you can order from the print shop in canada I'd highly recommend that, they offer discount code for 20% from time to time. right now there is one until Aug 6th. I'm glad these videos are helpful for you!

I love posca markers as they are bright and make the drawings "pop"! But there are limited colour ranges and I came across this video after looking for Mossery reviews. I'm glad that this video features the usage of both of them. I do experience some of the in paint in marker clumping alot and this leads to blobs in my work, great usage of a spare paper to remove the clumping. Hope to use your techniques in blending the two marker colours to create more hues and effects for my drawing! (Hoping to win the giveaway too!) Thank you for the video. :-)

I found out about Poscas from artubers, but did not see anyone doing blending with them before I came across your Insta :)
I found that working with solid blocks also works well on Moleskine sketchbooks, even though the paper is not as smooth as you recommend.

Totally! I think with solid blocks, a lot more sketchbooks can handle it, it only becomes annoying when you try to blend and layer multiple times Dx. I love the solid block graphic style a lot, it's what inspired me to try acrylic markers :D

I watch a LOT of art time lapse videos and I noticed many Copic artists would use Posca markers to add all those pretty final touches. From there I started looking into what artists can do with acrylic markers on their own. I was very excited to find your channel!

I recently delve into watercolour but felt like it wasn't a suitable medium for my art style which I'm also still exploring. I was researching on a more solid colouring technique and easy to control. And I came upon your IG page! Solid colour *check* easy to control *check* Then I realised you have a collab with mossery for an art kit! 😍 But it is wayyyy out of my budget :( especially for the intention of experimenting. So I hope I can win this giveaway to colour all your lovely artwork that you included in the kit! ❤️

Hi Jamie! That's so interesting! I definitely went on a similar journey searching for the perfect art medium for me. I also prefer solid colours and mediums that are easy to control! I first tried out oil pastels, liked it but too messy. Then I started using watercolour pencils, which were great but it was hard to get solid blocks of colours. Acrylic markers has been the perfect one for me. I hope you will get to try it out, I think you'll like it!

Hi ! Thanks for the videos ! I recently bought the kit but I have difficulties blending large areas (such as the road here). I noticed it was easier with the medium nip (light blue) but when I try with the fine nib the paint gets off the page, even if I do it quickly. I noticed that for the largest road area you used the aqua green pen in medium, not the fine one in the kit. Do you think buying the medium pens would help with my issue ? Or do you have any other tip? Thanks !

    • @AngelaPanArt
      @AngelaPanArt  2 года назад +1

Hi Camille, medium tips are definitely better for blending! I suggested to Mossery to change the tip size but they weren't able to do so and they wanted to limit the selection to 15 markers only so it was hard to decide what to put in. If you have extra funds I would recommend getting a set of medium tips to work alongside the fine-tip ones. :')
