It's easier to animate in 3rd person. 1st person animation isn't intuitive like 3rd person. Animating motion in 1st person requires a lot of things to be taken into consideration like fov, rotation speed of camera, etc. Indiana Jones action sequences in 1st person are really well done. i'm glad they went first person so it's not just another fucking 3rd person action/adventure with stealth elements. First person worked pretty fucking well for Metroid Prime.
If Indiana Jones is worse than Uncharted 4, which imo is the worst Uncharted Game due to being terribly miserable for an Uncharted Game, then Indiana Jones development team have some serious issues behind the scenes.
When I play video games, I look at the overall clothes that the characters are wearing to judge if the characters clothing is really good, alright, or just okay. I don't care how good the graphics looks on a character cufflinks. This is just hating on the game at this point, and why does this game havtwo differene to go against after uncharted 4 when the 2 games are nothing alike
ah yes uncharted 4 the game came out 8 years ago is going to destroy indiana jones the fact that jaytech is zooming to see how graphically impressive indiana jones is even though he wouoldn't tell when actually playing the game is pathetic.
its Machine games ofcourse its 1st person, if Telltales was making a indiana jones games, what kind of game would you expect????certainly not a uncharted clone, we all know it would be like there other games a point and click story adventure LMAO
"Who is that lady on the screen? is that barbie?" That is so disrespectful calling someone names that is talking about their game that is being made. JAyTechTV is so annoying and incompetent
I know JayTechTV is as usual just telling nonsense. Third Person camera was already on Indiana Jones games in past, so in that sense it should have at least option of TPP. It's quite bummer that it's forced FPP, I feel like industry actually forgot why games actually had TPP and why forced FPP was ditched in most genres decades ago. As for valid criticism, I do recall someone asking what is the point of having Indiana Jones game with full blown Harrison Ford looks and then you see him just in cutscenes. It makes quite mute point of movie adaptation. That point might be weird but it's still true. If selling point is Indiana Jones then why make us unable to see him for majority of game.
1: To be fair, MachineGames are specialized in first person; It makes sense they would want to focus more on those aspects while still doing a cinematic flair. 2: Not just cutscenes, but also bits of environmental traversal such as ziplining or climbing; It makes sense given how little experience the devs have in third person games. (Also, it's not actually Harrison Ford; Troy Baker takes up the role.)
@@dragonbornexpress5650 Well to MachineGames it might be fair to do FPP but .. why do they even want to make movie adaptation that skips showing known characters in action. Oh I mean Ford looks are based, since we will hear voice actor in FPP but we don't see model of protagonist in it. Overall just quite bummer it's forced FPP, I can't stand it in game. It quite reminds me of issues with Chronicles of Riddick games. And while I did force myself to finish Escape from Butcher Bay, it will be an exception to the rule that I can't play in FPP comfortably.
@@cracmar03 Chances are they were ordered to make this game, so they compensated for their lack of experience in third person by instead focusing on their first person strengths. That aside, understandable.
Let's be abundantly clear, if you're randomly hating on a game (that the average person would probably find relatively intriguing) just cause it's on a Rival platform you're just a fake gamer. I don't hate Switch games cause I can't play them, I hate Nintendo cause they don't let me play them. This is like when people lowkey hate on a game just cause they can't afford it, so they try to downplay it and call it shit. So embarrassing...
There's a good reason for that: A lot of the staff at MachineGames used to work for Starbreeze; Safe to say their Riddick experience is bleeding through. (Which is NOT a bad thing; Easily one of Starbreeze's best games from what I've heard.)
Dude I'm a PlayStation fan and I wanna buy this game lol. This game looks great. People really need to open their horizons and see the potential for other consoles and games. This dude is delusional. People who compare consoles and think one is great than another is foolish. We should really be excited for other consoles and studios for making a good game. I hate the whole console war garbage. I don't like getting into conversations with people about consoles because they'll act like this. It's ridiculous.

Never did they talk about the writing during that; In fact, it's most likely they were talking about the graphics and mechanics given the last non-Lego Indiana Jones game released like 15 years ago or so. The main reason ponies want Indiana Jones to be 3rd person is because they think that all games should be 3rd person, over the shoulder, action adventure games that are 6 hours of cutscenes and 2 hours of gameplay, because the lonely brain cell in their heads can't understand games that are anything else.

Seems like you missed the "for modern audiences" part of the Indiana Jones reveal having a trend that ends up in product suicide.
Also before Nathan Drake we had Lara Croft Tomb Raiding.
Go outside, clown.
Yeah Uncharted is basically what happened if Ind yand Lara had a kid
Modern audiences could just be for modern audiences. Many kids have never seen these movies...
@@chrism8860. It could also be referring to the gameplay since the last Indiana Jones game that wasn't Lego based was stuff like Staff of Kings during the 7th generation.
@@dragonbornexpress5650 Was there one that recently?
I'm sure its probably unconstitutional maybe, but there should be some kind of license and registration for being this amount of stupid that Jaytech is.
i'm glad they went first person so it's not just another fucking 3rd person action/adventure with stealth elements. First person worked pretty fucking well for Metroid Prime.
I'd like to see the day to days lives of these adult console warriors. 10 dollars says they're probably living the loser lifestyle
What's funny is Uncharted 4 is woke as fuck, there was a scene where one woman beat up Nathan drake and his brother.
The next game after that didn't even have Drake in the game at all, just the two women
If Indiana Jones is worse than Uncharted 4, which imo is the worst Uncharted Game due to being terribly miserable for an Uncharted Game, then Indiana Jones development team have some serious issues behind the scenes.
Did you watch the video?
@dragonexpress5650 I did, I'm basically disagreeing with JayTech's opinion.
Jay wishes naughty dog released uncharted 5 rather than another remaster.
THE MEME!!! Jaytech is the embodiment of the meme. You'd think he's joking at first glance, but he's doing it unironically which just...
Machine games made one of the best FPS games with Wolfenstein the new colossus. Them ponies wish they had a FPS 1/10 as good as TNC
How is it going head to head when one released years ago and the other hasn't released yet...
To be fair, I was kinda simping for that senior animator too when I watched the Direct.. 😂
ah yes uncharted 4 the game came out 8 years ago is going to destroy indiana jones the fact that jaytech is zooming to see how graphically impressive indiana jones is even though he wouoldn't tell when actually playing the game is pathetic.
HUH? How does that make any sense?
I shit you not i just got an ad for the game mid video and yeah for what it is it looks GORGEOUS, but yeah as an uncharted fan this dude is delusional
It's hilarious that Sony fans think anyone cares about Uncharted games or has he even played them before.
"Clothing is Flat" - King 2024
Now he's an expert Game Dev 😂😂😂😂
if it was on ps5 only jay would suck it off
its Machine games ofcourse its 1st person, if Telltales was making a indiana jones games, what kind of game would you expect????certainly not a uncharted clone, we all know it would be like there other games a point and click story adventure LMAO
All Ponies Care About Is MmmGwaphics.....They Never Talk About Gameplay.... Gameplay Is King
lol ND cant stop stroking Druckman’s ego remaking TLOU2 for the 18th time. Theyre not gonna give AF about Indiana Jones.
Look I might gave this game a chance.
I cannot WAIT until Indiana Jones outsells Uncharted 4. And I love the Uncharted games, but these fanboys are so insufferable.
So embarrassing...
the gameplay from indiana jones looks more like the chronicles of riddick
As someone who grew up playing uncharted Indy looks pretty good I’m 23 so I could care less about Indiana jones but I’m just glad Xbox making some pretty good moves just need a new gears of war game and new fable to drop and then hopefully these clowns will stop comparing everything lmfaoo
Wel the yd ohav ea new Fable in th eworks a stha twas revealed a tthe gam eawards I thin karoun th easme time the Blade game was
I'm also 23 but have been a fan of the Indiana Jones movies since I was a kid, so this feels like a special treat just for me. Lmao!
I love that the dead franchise Uncharted is gonna compete with Indy despite being dead for a decade 😂
Dead? They are still actively using the i.p.
@@joshjordan1486already confirmed by Druckmann as the series is finished.
Playstation fanboys are probably held up on graphics because their own console hasnt gotten more than a handful at best of "next gen" games
Indiana Jones looks really good....and Indiana Jones Always Has Females In His Movies...Romance Interests, Side Kicks
But they didn't have the Haircut.
He even ate catfood lmao
Denial. Tell the other Sony ponies to cry about it like you were at Peta Griffin. There's nothing he and Peta Griffin can do about it. The only political ones are JayTechTV and the rest of the hypocritical Sony ponies with their Peta Griffin sorry butts.
well, the dev did say that it was written for "modern audience"... so we know it's going to be woke...
What’s your favorite part of ISOM, boyo?
Never did they talk about the writing during that; In fact, it's most likely they were talking about the graphics and mechanics given the last non-Lego Indiana Jones game released like 15 years ago or so. Plus, STOP using that word when you clearly have zero idea what it means; Google exists, you know.
@@dragonbornexpress5650 "Now we have the opportunity to tell new indiana jones story for modern gaming audiences":- Edward Curtis Sivess, Senior narrative designer.
that is a word for word quote.... so far i have not seen anything that include those dreadful "for modern audience" keyword that has been anything but woke BS.
@@zerocalvin And what would you consider woke BS? You don't even know what that word means, in all likelihood; I'll say it again: Google exists. As someone who's seen both Raiders of the Lost Ark and the Last Crusade fairly recently, this game feels very much like it could have existed between the two films right down to the way the characters seem to interact. Go touch grass.
@@dragonbornexpress5650 well if you need someone to spell out what woke BS means, it's safe to say that you are the target audience of this game... i bet you also consider dial of destiny to be a masterpiece... meanwhile i would be avoiding it like the plague...
The main reason ponies want Indiana Jones to be 3rd person is because they think that all games should be 3rd person, over the shoulder, action adventure games that are 6 hours of cutscenes and 2 hours of gameplay, because the lonely brain cell in their heads can't understand games that are anything else.
JayTech is just parroting the taking points of the critics of the movie
