Lovely boat, although I do prefer the aesthetics of the windows and the forward visibility in the salon, of the 370/430. Alubat makes great boats and the Ovni range has such a practical layout internally and externally.
Nice boat BUT having your F/F on a port & starboard configuration & Not a for & arft set up isnt the best for cruising , Iv experienced it on a 50 footer (Hanse 505) on a delivery , With the freezer & Fridge full/Heavy they become a danger in a sea way trying to open them , We actually had to tack so we could get some milk out for a coffee ,One crew broke her toe from a draw opening as we hit a big wave so put some bungies on it . But good solid boat , Very well constructed .
Great concept. My main worry would be EVERY contact point between different metals tho. Can't make it all aluminum. You know what people use for galvanic protection on steel boats? Aluminum! In fish harbor this boat is alka seltzer. Open waters only. Away from everyone else. And constant fear and inspection of every piece of metal you ever had on board. While you are in open waters.
The fact is that if it is built using the correct aluminum alloys and welding wire, an aluminum boat will be stronger and last longer than any other material.

For further clarity, the liferaft, which is located at the transom beneath the central locker, is a Transocean liferaft. For high latitude sailing I would like an inside helm station. Its no fun when the temp is below 0 C wind is 20 knots and its snowing.
Take a look at the Ovni 490 with the pilot house designed exactly for those latitudes.

What you think is a life raft is actually the northern lights generator.. The cover is on to keep the noise down.
